The white screen of death?!

Any Android users have this problem as well? The game has been literately unplayable since the latest update.

Had it, restarted and didn't come back.

Noticed that as well. It seems to hang whatsoever. What I do is clear the cache and data and restart the game. It sometimes work but yeah, 'sometimes' doesn't denote a permanent fix.

I get it on Android about twice a day. Closing and going to force stop under Tools/Apps clears it.

Yeah I've gotten that a few times since last update, and gym play has been glitchy too.

I get it as well. The game has always crashed for me, but after the latest update it does so more often than before.

When I was out today it crashed. I restarted and it froze on the loading screen, then I restarted it and I got that white screen. On the third attempt it worked.
Not fun waiting for the game to start when it's freezing outside.

At least you can get it to work after a few reopens. I had to reinstall the whole app to get it working...

In my case (Android), it was resolved by going to the aplication manager and edit the permissions for PoGo. I gave permission to access the camera and restarted the app. Then, on mon encounter it asked me if I wanted to use AR or maybe later.
Hope this works for you.

This worked for me, thank you very much. Just to clarify, once you give permission to access the camera (I also force stopped the Pokemon-Go App to be safe) and then restarted it. Then, on the "first" encounter after the restarted App loads, you will get an automatically popped-up App driven message asking if you want to use the AR or "maybe later". I selected "maybe later" and boom....white screen gone. Thank you so much "103862" for this fix.
