Welcome to Raid Review, where we take a look at the current raid rotation in Pokemon Go in order to see how valuable the current candidates are and what's worth your precious raid passes and what should generally be ignored! This is an ongoing series for Gamepress where we break down the proceedings into three-to-four different sections and work out the top choices for each, with consideration given to PvP and PvE alike.

Five-Star and Mega Raids

Cobalion

The last of the Swords of Justice, Cobalion has seen new life recently thanks to Sacred Sword, and it's become one of the quintessential Ultra League Pokemon. If you play the Ultra League, then you'll want to pick this monster up.

Mega Glalie

Ice Types are important for raids, and Mega Glalie is arguably the best of the Ice Type Mega Evolutions. Pretty much anyone interested in raiding should have this monster or Mega Abomasnow on their team.

Three-Star Raids

The offerings for Three Stars is a bit lackluster. The prime stand-out is Lapras for its performance in the Great and Ultra League, and even then it's not a top pick and will have less than optimal PvP IVs.

One-Star Raids

Alolan Vulpix and Spheal are solid picks, as their evolutions have genuine PvP utility. But, again, they'll have poor PvP IVs due to the 10-IV floor. Galarian Darumaka is also good, but mainly because Galarian Darmanitan is a good Ice Type attacker for raids.
