The Searching for Gold Research Day is coming, and it's... a thing. With a focus on research, it's got the potential to get trainers out-and-about searching for Gimmeghoul coins, so it's a good chance to strive for a Gholdengo if that's on your radar.

- Pokestops have a chance to turn Golden even without a Golden Lure Module, resulting in Gimmighoul Coins for those who spin them
- Note that Roaming Gimmeghoul won't appear at stops that don't have an active Golden Lure Module
- Event-themed Research will be available, some of which will result in encounters with the following Pokemon.
- A special selection of Pokemon will spawn more frequently in the wild during event hours
- A $1 Timed Research line will be available, allowing players to pick a specific event Pokemon to encounter more of.

For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research.
This Timed Research will challenge you to complete Field Research tasks to encounter more of the featured Pokémon of your choice!

Pokémon that appear during this Timed Research will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that can be encountered through Field Research during the event.
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, June 3, 2023, 5:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
This Timed Research Ticket will only be available in the in-game shop from Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
