Overview
For the vast majority of players, Walrein cannot be duoed without weather boost. Machamp is the only counter that beats the clock on a consistent basis, and it will require luck or dodging. Water Pulse is the charge move to target when not dodging, as 6 level 40 Machamp have about a 15% chance to beat a Water Pulse set. Some well timed dodges will increase that probability.
Clear, cloudy, and rain weather allow for more viable counters. Cloudy and rain boost Walrein’s strongest counters, while clear weather duos are still a tight race against the clock.
