Marley/Olivia Method (Slower)

Guests: Any / Olivia & Lycanroc / Any

  • The Host starts with Marley & Arcanine.
  • Both Guests start with Olivia & Lycanroc.
  • The "Any" spots can be filled by physical strikers or other sources of damage, in case Lycanroc falls earlier than expected.

Battle Strategy

This strategy is slower and somewhat less consistent than the Brendan method, but can still clear the encounter.

A table version of the strategy can be found below.

Solo Method: Phoebe/Karen/Brendan (Slower)

  • Center: Karen & Houndoom
  • Left: Phoebe & Dusclops
  • Right: Brendan & Treecko

This setup can clear the setup with two A.I. allies. Credits to Professor Tuesday (@Tuesday#3726) for the strategy and video!

Using Emoji prompts correctly is key to the consistency of this setup! The A.I. allies will change their actions depending on the Emoji prompt used. See the video below on how this strategy works.

Video Links

Check out the link below for a video posted by /u/Tragadeundediez4 (@Traga#0584) demonstrating the Marley & Brendan Method!

For the Marley & Olivia method, see the video below by Alterego131!

  • Important Note: Ideally, the second Unity is reached before enemy Sync! In the video below, slow timing (and some unlucky RNG) lead to a delayed Unity, although clearing was still possible.
