TL;DR: Should You Pull?
What Does It Do?
Alcremie is arguably best explained as a discount mixture of Sygna Suit Leaf and Liza. It offers SDef debuffing and Passive Heal support like Mega Venusaur, but lacks Potion. It offers mixed buffing like Lunatone, but lacks SDef buffing support. Alcremie does serve as fantastic Move Gauge support through its Sync Grid.
Alcremie fares best when used on a Special team, or against stages that deal Physical damage. This is rather niche. Physical teams are arguably better off with Phoebe or even the grid-less Hilbert. The heavy emphasis on stat debuffing means that Alcremie struggles against Impervious stages, which are likely to increase in prevalence and number over the course of the game’s development. In scenarios where Alcremie is useful, the debuffs that it inflicts are most reliable in single wave stages where the drops stick throughout the battle, as compared to the replacements in Full Force Battles and Battle Villa boss stages.
How Do I Use It? (Grid, Lucky Skills, And Comps):
The Grid setup nets the mandatory Revenge Boost and First Aid nodes on the top left sector, grabbing the two How Sweet MPRs on the way. This leaves players with 26 energy to freely invest. Going for the Healthy Healing node makes Alcremie better equipped for longevity, while nabbing the two MGR nodes for Charm basically makes it a free move. Impose 1 (on the bottom right sector) on the other hand, better benefits allies with inaccurate moves. This path would move the two MGR nodes to Fake Tears, which would allow the team to exert more offensive pressure.
As a Fairy Type support, Alcremie fits best alongside the upcoming Xerneas, whose Sync buffs the entire team’s Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. This would synergize well with Alcremie’s Charm, which greatly improves the team’s bulk. However, there currently aren’t any Fairy Type strikers that synergize well with the supportive duo. Alcremie’s Wide Awake interferes with Lyra’s Jigglypuff, while Lisia’s Altaria is classified as a Dragon Type unit
Is It Worth Pulling?
No: She may be a waifu, but her set is too niche to justify selling your hard earned gems to get a ⅗. Most of the good strikers now are rather self-sufficient, so Alcremie’s use is more of an icing on the cake luxury. The upcoming Xerneas also cuts into Alcremie’s value, seeing as it is a free unit and one of the best Special buffers at that for the casual player.
