Tier List Change Log
The Support Tier List has been restructured with the advent of Christmas 2019 Rosa!
New Sync Pair Placements
Placed in Tier 1.
- Free Mixed Support (both Special and Physical damage support)
- Best used in a Special team composition since it buffs Sp Atk and Critical Hit rate with a single move
Placed in Tier 1.
- Best current Physical Support
- Move Gauge Acceleration (currently appears to be bugged) works even better in Co-op battles. The move also grants all allies an additional +1 Speed and +1 random stat
Placed in Tier 2.
- Mixed Support (both Physical and Special)
- Offensive and Bulkier variant of Nosepass
- Best used in tandem with Torchic
- Rating is influenced by its synergy with Torchic
Placed in Tier 2.
- Guaranteed Crit w/ Dire Hit + All
- Full party Move Gauge Refill / Attack boost that scales inversely with HP
Placed in Tier 2.
- Physical variant of Serperior
- Impervious keeps its Attack and Speed buffs, which allows players to exploit the speed buffs it retains after an opponent uses its Sync (simply select Oshawott's window, keeping it highlighted as the move gauge replenishes until enough gauge is available for a strike move)
Placed in Tier 2.
- Free bulky damage redirector
- Special Support
- Fixed Move Gauge Refill
Placed in Tier 2.
- Best budget Special support (pre-Torchic)
- Better paired with Strike Sync Pairs that carry their own Critical Hit rate boost moves
- Wide Guard works better in co-op.
Placed in Tier 3.
- Sp. Atk Support + Manual Redirector in one
- Sustainable Passive Heal to ward off AoE chip
- Mega Evolution allows it to explode upon death, which is rather powerful, albeit slightly wasteful to pull off in Single Player
Placed in Tier 3.
- Passive Heal + Move Gauge Refill in one
- Status nullification
Placed in Tier 3.
- Vanilla Mixed Support (Physical and Special)
Placed in Tier 3.
- Best Free Potion Support
- Haste + Speed Boost, also provides a Defense Boost
Placed in Tier 3.
- Special Support
- Targetable heal + Sp. Def and Defense boost
Placed in Tier 4.
- Plain Defensive Support
- Move Gauge Refill
- No offensive contribution
Placed in Tier 4.
- Physical Support
- Next Move Guaranteed Hit Support (w/ +1 Critical Hit rate), best used with Feraligatr, but currently not many more applications
Placed in Tier 4.
- Plain Speed Support
- Status nullification that is necessary for certain EX Challenges
Placed in Tier 5.
- Plain Defensive Support
- Single Target Passive Heal + Evasiveness boost causes it to lose out in utlity against Glacia and Cheren
Placed in Tier 5.
- Plain Defensive Support
- Manual Redirector (not much usage in Single Player, better options available in Co-Op)
