- Raikou has been confirmed to be a tier 5 raid and not tier 4 like the Legendary Bird event

On June 29th Raikou Raid Day happens at 4:00 PM across the world. This is 6 hours away for those who are here in Central Standard Time, but it's currently happening across Europe and the UK and for New Zealand, the event has already happened. Here's what we learned:
- Raikou Raids will be full Tier 5 raids
- 15000 HP and 300-second raid timers
- There will not be an exclusive move
- There will be 5 free raid passes available
- Your account can only hold 1 free Raid Pass at a time, so the pass will be added to your inventory after each raid while they last
- There is a 5% active Best Friend damage bonus for the 3rd-anniversary event
Players who initially received the event in New Zealand and Fiji did not see Raikou raids begin at 4 PM. Redditors u/woodersj and u/TressP both reported the event starting 15 minutes late, and free raid passes only a few minutes after that.
