Flip your World

Roterra is a puzzle game that flips your world upside down-- literally. In a world that looks like it is straight out of an M. C. Escher painting, the game has you rotate, flip and spin your way through 80 hand-built mazes.  Popular on iOS, the game is developed by Dig-iT! Games and is now available on Android. It is available as a free to play game with an in-app purchase to unlock the complete game.

--GAME FEATURES--

  • 80 Unique, Hand-Crafted Puzzles over 20 levels
  • 6+ hours of gameplay
  • The Puzzles are the Story: change your perspective to find the path
  • Multiple characters: cooperation is key!
  • Fairytale art style
  • Relaxing gameplay, no ads or timers

Game Inspiration

The game is inspired by a 16th century epic poem (Orlando Furioso by Ludovico Ariosto ) that features a strong female character that challenged the medieval perceptions of women. The goal of the game is to inspire players to look beyond stereotypes and reinforce that things are not always as they seem on the surface and you often have to change your prospective to solve problems.

Concluding Thoughts

I personally love puzzle games and this hits everything I’m looking for in one. A fantastic inspiration and backstory, unique gameplay and perspectives, and puzzles that make you think outside the box.  Definitely something worth checking out if you enjoy puzzle games and want something a little different.
