Should you Pull? Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel - Stacia Creation Myth

Stacia Creation Myth
  • You should pull if you like Asuna or need a magic damage dealer/supporter.

  • You should NOT pull if your primary attackers are physical attackers, or you are looking for an Ordinal character.

Asuna Wishes Upon a Star

Asuna makes her second appearance as a 4* gacha character in Stacia Creation Myth, the newest banner for Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel.  Asuna [Upon a Wishing Star] is a light element, making her the 3rd 4* light unit in the game beside Ronie and welfare Alice (aka Lolice, Kid Alice, Little Alice, Baby Alice).  As a rapier weapon user, she is only the second rapier specialized 4*, the other being her non-elemental version [Fierce Flash].

Stacia (as we’ll call Asuna [Upon a Wishing Star]), has a BAH Skill set with an AOE Magic attack Incarnate Skill.  Her stats and skills lean her towards the role of magic attacker and supporter. She has the highest MATK of any gacha 4* character, but that is offset by her ATK stat being the lowest.  In the current state of the game, she is one of two 4* characters with a party-wide MATK Up buff (the other being Tiese). Details can be seen in the following images:

Odds

Since she is on solo rate up, odds of pulling Stacia are 1.5%, so if you pull a 4* (3% odds), there is a 50/50 chance it will be her.

Pros (Reasons to pull)

  • Asuna is a popular character in the SAO story.  If you like her, she is worth pulling for.

  • She has the strongest MATK of any 4* gacha character, and an (extra strong) Single Target magic Assault skill and AOE Magic Incarnate Skill to go with it.

  • Her outfit is quite cute.

  • She is a great support for other magic attackers: Ronie and Lolice, and to a lesser extent Eugeo and Tiese.

  • She makes a solid all-around supporter, as she has a 50% break, a small heal, and additional buff effects to go along with her A and H skills.

Cons (Reasons not to pull)

  • The most popular and strongest current attackers are physical attackers (Alice and Kirito)

  • On top of that, the majority of attack skills among all current 4* characters are physical.

  • If you don’t have strong magic users to support, her usefulness drops.

  • Her heal may not be strong enough to act as a main healer.

  • Her break skill deals physical damage, and she has the lowest ATK stat for current 4* gacha characters.  Yes, break is used primarily as a strategic play, but damage is still damage.

  • She has the lowest Crit stat of all 4* gacha characters.

  • Her middling speed makes her less useful in Ordinal than her 4* light counterparts, though she is still usable as a counter for the popular Kirito.  However, she has the same base speed as Kirito, so it is not guaranteed that she will act first.
