Sirfetch'd, Farfetch'd Evolution, Confirmed for Pokemon Sword and Shield

On September 18th, 2019, the official Pokemon YouTube Channel released info on the newest Pokemon to be included in the Galar Pokedex: Sirfetch'd!

Sirfetch'd is an evolution of Farfetch'd caught in the Galar region. The Pokemon is a Fighting-type and is exclusive to Sword, meaning it cannot be encountered in the wild in Pokemon Shield. 

Its ability is Steadfast, which raises its speed stat by one stage when it flinches in battle.

Footage from Japanese Pokemon news outlet @poke_times reveals its Japanese name to be ネギガナイト(Negiganaito), a play on the Japanese word for green onion and English knights. 

The official Pokemon site also contains images of the newly introduced Pokemon and some extended info including info on its signature move, Meteor Assault.
