Tiny Royale - A Snapchat Battle Royale Game

There’s a new game hitting an unfamiliar platform in a familiar style – a top-down battle royale style shooter exclusively on Snapchat.

Zynga Inc. – perhaps known best for their addictively viral game Words With Friends and Farmville, has joined forces with Snapchat to bring one of the first games exclusively to the emerging social media platform. Tiny Royale allows players to gear up with custom characters, and join forces with friends or battle solo – unlocking new characters, weapons, and health packs along the way.

Ensuring games stay short, the map actually shrinks as the timer runs out, perpetually forcing players into closer and closer quarters until only one player remains. A green circle slowly closes in, indicating the shrinking range of the zone.

Accessing the game is as easy as opening the messaging in Snapchat. From there, you can join a game and chat via text or voice with a friend, or go in solo.

And it appears Zynga wants the same competitive elements available in other battle royale games to be apparent in this one. There are leaderboards, and even tournaments, to see who is the best at bashing their friends with bats or shooting them with crossbows in the cartoon world of Tiny Royale.
