Hey Pilots! I have some wonderful news for you today! This article was written by a new writer, Sinari! I hope you enjoy his article as much as I have. It's about the upcoming event; what's going to be added and what this might mean, enjoy!

Update 2019-10-1

The news is in, and we've got some for you! Welcome to the first of what we hope will be a regular series of articles about the upcoming events in Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare! We're starting things off with a bang here, coming hot off the coattails of the Justice/Freedom banner, which featured a new type of event structure revolving around points instead of coins. This week, we're changing it up again. Back to coins, but this time around we're seeing a whopping 400 and 600% coming from a single piece of the event banner suits. More on those later in the article. For now, the event!

NEW EVENT: ASHEN TRANSFORMER

This is a surprise one; as expected, the feature banner parts provide the largest bonuses, but we also see here an increased percentage rate for Stargazer (the previous event suit), and the new event shop suit, Delta Plus. Stargazer's parts will be somewhat tricky to build with to maximize your multipliers; the arms are a dual arms and shield part, and there are no weapons. Delta Plus, however, features a full suit, as well as melee weapon, long range weapon, and shield. This one is gonna be where the money is, as weapons and shields do, in fact, add to event multipliers.

This time around, however, we also see bonuses from 1* and 2* parts, albeit at a lesser rate. These parts will all provide you with a 10% bonus to coins per match, per part. So yes, these bonuses are able to be stacked across all three of your gunpla. These listed suits include Jesta (suit parts plus beam rifle) at 2*, along with Jesta Cannon (and beam rifle), and Byarlant Custom. The 1* bonus parts are limited to Dreissen [Unicorn Ver.] (along wit Beam Tomahawk and Giant Bazooka), and the Juaggu [Unicorn Ver.] which doesn't include an associated weapon, much like the Byarlant Custom.

In my opinion, these suits are going to be a way to shore up the difference in losing multipliers by not pulling parts from the featured banners, but at an increased risk in later event stages. A greater bonus can be achieved with less parts by simply buying into the current event suit (Stargazer), and using those parts to obtain Delta Plus parts. Using these additional 15% bonus parts helps maximize a more healthy multiplier bonus across these new stages the fastest, with a smaller investment of coveted EN.

NEW BANNER: DUEL GUNDAM (ASSAULT SHROUD) AND PALE RIDER

Along with new event info comes the information you've all been wanting to see: NEW SUITS. This week is Duel Gundam Assault Shroud; a big chonky boi with a ton of guns and missiles. I expect this suit to be more focused on magazine-based shot attacks, and could potentially boast a high amount of armor/defense stats. The listed parts for this are the suit itself, and the Assault Shroud. I'm going to assume this is either a back, shield, or weapon. It would be strange to name a back like this, but anything is possible.

Secondly, and surely not least, is Pale Rider. We saw parts from this suit, and the paint job, show up in the punishingly difficult Ono missions, and is definitely a fan favorite for many gunpla enthusiasts. Oddly enough, there is no weapon whatsoever included in the banner for this suit, and it only comes with a shield. I expect this to be a little more Shooter focused as well, based on the canon suit, but it's sad to see we won't have another good gun entering the part pool, this week.

NEW PILOTS: KAMILLE AND ELLE

Big BIG news in Pilots though! Our 3* entry this time around is Elle Vianno, one of the people to pilot MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam. Right now it's anyone's guess what license she could have, but let's hope it's just not another Part Trait that doesn't match the Pilot. My guess is Defender or Shooter, but really, anyone's guess with this game.

What people really want to see is our 4*, Kamille Bidan, the pilot of MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. I expect this guy to stab anyone who so much as suggests he has a girl's name, and probably as an Out-Fighter, given that we just saw Duo Maxwell release as an In-Fighter alongside Freedom/Justice.

ARENA UPDATES GALORE

For the first time since the game's release, however, the Arena store will be rotating items out. Sumo and all related parts leave the Arena store, starting on 9/30 (running til 12/1), and IWSP Strike Rouge will be added in its place at a 3* rarity. Please note, that as Sumo leaves the shop, it is unknown if these parts will be available at a later date. If you want them, you have little time to stock up. Along with the suit comes the 9.1m Experimental Anti-Ship Sword and the Shield, also at 3*, which just screams awesome from every sharp and pointy angle. Expect to see this impaling suits soon.

Alongside this sweet, sweet gunpla comes Cagalli Yula Athha at, you guessed it, a 3* rarity. Could it be another bargain In-Fighter? Maybe a second Defender in arena store? Probably not. Shooter? Honestly, they're all over the place with pilot licenses, but it's exciting to see some familiar faces popping up all around.

Tacked onto the end of the notice for the Arena change up, it's stated that "Gunpla Parts Combine Shield (3*) is scheduled to be added to the Exchange in mid-October". We haven't seen a shop get any extra items added beyond its original lineup yet, so this could be something pretty awesome. It appears that it may not just be another throwaway part if it's being added in mid-October, but more like a very deliberate item signaling a need for it.

Could it mean Big Zam is right around the corner, and we're all going to be very very busy soon? Is it just a one-off? Or can we expect more items like this to be added to store inventories later in the future? Part variety is always good, but to me this is a deliberate move that was scheduled out to the middle of the month for a reason

AND THE REASON IS ZAM! (I hope)
