We first reported on WRLDCRAFT when it was released, and we're excited to see how it's been growing lately. The Minecraft-like AR game allows users to go around their local landscape, laying blocks and building all sorts of cool lego-style creations, collecting resources and building tools for creating more types of structures and using more materials. It also comes complete with a questline - full on 8-bit style quests that you can take and collect rewards from the King.

And of course, it comes complete with a full-on gold rush -- an event that began on release day and has continued now with gold caches hiding all around the world.

As of July 15th - WRLDCRAFT announced

  • 1 million blocks placed around the world at nearly 7000 locations
  • 28,000 gold blocks mined
  • 6,500 quests were completed
  • 78% of the blocks were placed by iPhone and iPad users (Get in the game Android!)
