Overview

SUB-2000’s arrival marks the end of the login doll era. While she won’t be EN’s last login doll (There’s one more to go for us), She was the last login doll on CN. As a sort-of ‘grand finale’ to login dolls, SUB-2000 actually delivers a gimmick that, while not competitive for ranking, is still surprisingly decent and quite enjoyable.

SUB is the ultimatum of login dolls: a low rarity doll that actually makes low rarity dolls good. Her appropriately named skill, Final Glory, buffs all 2 star and 3 star dolls in the echelon with the amount she buffs increasing for every 2 star and 3 star doll present. On top of this, her tiles have basically perfect coverage, buff all unit types, and carry quite strong bonuses. With a full 2/3 star team, SUB is actually providing more bonuses than P22 would be. With her present, these otherwise underwhelming low rarity teams can potentially keep up with even some generic 5 star setups.

So what’s the catch? Well there’s actually quite a few. First, SUB-2000 herself is nothing to write home about. Her Evasion is pretty low, though her HP is on the higher end, making her a mediocre tank. Secondly, her team's performance outside of skill usage will be poor. Thirdly, there’s a lot of specialised 5 stars with no low rarity equivalent, meaning SUB’s teams at best will typically be focusing on general mobs. Finally, she sadly cannot work with any MOD, even if the base version was a 2/3 star.

As a final send off to the login doll era, SUB-2000 honestly achieves that well. A unique niche not found elsewhere that can be quite fun to mess around with, really what a silly login doll should be. She’s not going to make low rarity teams competitive in ranking battles or a meta strategy, but she does enable them to be perfectly viable and fun to use. If you’re a longtime player who wants something new or wants to make that one low rarity doll you love good, consider giving SUB-2000 a shot.

Strengths

Final Glory

SUB-2000 carries a one of a kind skill, focused around buffing low rarity dolls. For each 2/3 star doll in the echelon, this skill buffs the FP, Rate of Fire, Accuracy, Evasion, and Armour of all 2/3 star dolls by 5%, up to a max bonus of 25% for 8 seconds. In a full team consisting of only 2/3 star dolls, the amount of buffs she gives makes her more beneficial to the team than even P22 (assuming you wouldn’t need her shield). During the skills usage, low rarity teams can even keep up with generic 5 star teams.

Outstanding Tiles

SUB-2000’s tiles are excellent even by regular standards. From position 8, she buffs the entire echelon, regardless of where they are positioned. The tiles themselves carry an amazing 20% FP, 20% Accuracy, and 10% Crit Rate.

The cherry on top is the fact her tiles buff all doll types, like a typical HG. This means she isn’t just for enabling low rarity ARSMG teams, but can even enable low rarity RFHG teams.

Weaknesses

Mediocre Tank

SUB’s own performance is nothing special. She comes with 66 Evasion which is on the lower end for SMGs. To compensate, she does have 194 HP per link, which is on the higher end. These combine to make her a mediocre tank at best, even with her own skill backing her up.

2/3 Stars are 2/3 Stars Again During Skill Downtime.

All teams suffer in performance whenever skills are on cooldown, but this is even more prevalent than normal with SUB-2000 and her teams. When Final Glory is down, the team suffers drastically from their stereotypically poor 2/3 star statlines.

Lower Rarities Typically Lack Specialisation

Lower Rarities by nature tend to have fairly generic skills that don’t offer much beyond simple combat boosts. A lot of 5 stars come with specific niche skills that are extremely useful and helpful in certain cases, for which there is typically no low rarity equivalent. This means that SUB’s teams are typically only going to be viable for generic enemy groups and won’t perform well against enemies that desire more specialisation.

No MODs

Sadly, upgraded 2/3 star dolls won’t work with SUB-2000. As soon as MOD1 is done, those dolls become 4 stars and thus lose compatibility.

Team Options

Naturally, SUB wants to stick around her low rarity comrades to get the most benefit out of Final Glory. You may be surprised to hear that there is a surprising number of decent 3 stars she can go with, often overlooked because there’s normally no point to raise them when there’s plentiful better alternatives. With SUB-2000, those decent low rarity options can have some fun. The dolls listed above are just a handful of those options.
