Introduction

NOTE – At the time of writing, this article’s information was announced as the following and was prepared as this week was originally intended to run. We will modify this article as best we can accordingly.

Hello everyone and welcome to the “Tournament Talk” with Lucus1355 from the ‘GamePress JWA’ Discord.

This week’s tournament is the Fifth and Final of this months Season in the Toro Alliance Championship.

Tournament Format and Rewards

Each tournament match is a 4v4 full battle. Whoever defeats 1 of their opponents 4 creatures will be the winner. In addition, all creatures will be set to Tournament Level (26), have no stat boosts and will feature Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Unique (with Enhancements) and Omega Creatures. In the case that both sides lose their 3rd creature in the same turn, then the bout will be declared a draw.

With all this in mind, there will be available to use:

  • 42 Common
  • 74 Rare
  • 90 Epic
  • 71 Legendary
  • 54 Unique
  • 10 Omega (Segnosaurus not yet collectable)

With the rewards for this tournament being Cash:

Used predominantly to buy items from the Jurassic World Alive Market but, also for use in other parts of the game such as retrying Events and Trials.

Omegas in Future Tournaments

The Omega creatures bring a new twist to the tournament format due to most of their abilities being unlocked as they level up. However, they are only allowed to use certain abilities dependent on whether they are unlocked and depending on what rarity of creatures are being used in the tournament format.

For more and better explained information please go to the following links (below) to understand these Omega Creatures (Oldest First):

As this is a Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary/Unique/Omega Tournament, the abilities that Omega creatures can use will be all the abilities that a player has managed to unlock.

If you have not spent any Training Points, they will temporarily be applied evenly to match other Level 26 Dinosaurs during the Skill Tournament.

To see an approximation of what the stats may look like, please go to the Paleo JWA Toolbox website;

Select your Omega Creature by clicking on its image/name.

Once here, all you need to do would be to click on the 'Preset Points' which should show you an approximate example of what 'applied evenly' will look like on that Omega Creature's stats (see below).

It is recommended that Omega creatures have all their abilities unlocked up to/in line with the highest allowed rarity in a tournament. As this is a Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary/Unique/Omega Tournament, all Omega Creatures' Abilities should be unlocked.

However, you may find that some Omega Creatures may not have to have all their abilities unlocked, as some can still do well without all their abilities available in tournament battles.

After the most recent Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary/Unique Skills Tournament, you voted on which Omegas performed the best, but also the worst. The below tier list shows the results:

As these creatures and their mechanics are still new, along with their 'Unique' strength resistances there is no certainty to how they will actually perform, come the tournament battles against each other and other rarity creatures. However, the lower of rarity of the tournament, the more difficult it could be to beat Omega Creatures, mainly because of the 'Unique' strength resistances but also the training points spread over the stats: Health, Damage, Speed, Armour, Critical Chance and Critical Damage.

A good start at facing Omega Creatures is taking note of its resistances, as we can see that using certain creature abilities against Omega Creature's would successful, unsuccessful or halfway between. Also, its armour and whether it can break shields and/or bypass armour.

For example, using the above image of Diabloceratops from the Paleo JWA Toolbox we can see:

  • Using Stun, Swap Prevention and Vulnerability would be useless - they would have no effect on Diabloceratops, other than any damage.
  • Using Damage Over Time and Rend would only be partially useless - they would have partial effect on Diabloceratops, plus any damage.
  • Using Critical Chance, Damage, Speed and Armour Reduction would be useful - they would have the most effect on Diabloceratops on top of any damage.
  • It does not have a shield breaking ability and can only bypass armour with its swap inability - you could use shields and armour against it.
  • It does have high Armour - you would be better off using creature abilities that break shields and/or bypass armour.

Using this information and knowing what abilities Diabloceratops is able to use, you should be able to make a good choice of creature to go against it in battle.

These unmentioned creatures may be used to fill gaps in players teams.that have not managed yet to obtain most, some or even any of the top recommended creatures recommended to be used in this here tournament.
