Introduction

NOTE – At the time of writing, this article’s information was announced as the following and was prepared as this week was originally intended to run.

Hello everyone and welcome to the “Tournament Talk” with Lucus1355 from the ‘GamePress JWA’ Discord.

This week’s tournament is the First in the Styracosaurus Lux Alliance Championship and it’s a Skills Tournament with no restrictions.

Tournament Format and Rewards

Each tournament match is a 4v4 full battle. Whoever defeats 3 of their opponents 4 creatures will be the winner. In addition, all creatures will be set to Tournament Level (26), have no stat boosts and there are no restrictions on which Common, Rare and Omega creatures you can use. In the case that both sides lose their 3rd creature in the same turn, then the bout will be declared a draw.

With all this in mind, there will be available to use:

·         42 Common

·         74 Rare

·         3 Omega

With the rewards for this tournament being coins:

Coin Rewards

Used predominantly to fuse hybrid DNA and level up your creatures.

Omegas

The Omega creatures bring a new twist to the tournament format due to most of their abilities being unlocked as they level up. However, they are only allowed to use the unlocked abilities they learnt by a certain level, depending on what rarity of creatures are being used in the tournament format:

Level 1 = Common

Level 6 = Rare

Level 11 = Epic

Level 16 = Legendary

Level 21 =  Unique

As this is a Common/Rare Tournament, the abilities that Omega creatures can use will be those abilities at level 6 and below that a player has unlocked. Not very many of us will have that level 6 ability unlocked so how do these Omega creature perform when they come up against some recommended Rare creatures.

The table below shows the 3 Omega creatures (shown at the top in blue) where they are currently between Level 1 and Level 5. They are facing off against each other and also 2 Recommended Rare creatures for this tournament (shown on the far left). They battled an equal amount of times and the results are below.

(Green = More Wins) (Yellow = Tied Wins) (Red = Less Wins)

Toro = Won 1 / Drew 2 / Lost 1

Diabloceratops = Won 1 / Drew 1 / Lost 2

Stegouros = Won 1 / Drew 3 / Lost 0

Looking at the results, it seems as though all 3 Omegas may have a place on a players team in this weekends tournament. Also, we must not forget that they have the resistances and immunities of a Unique creature.

For those lucky few who have got the Level 6 abilities unlocked, here is how that changes the results:

(Green = More Wins) (Yellow = Tied Wins) (Red = Less Wins)

Toro = Won 4 / Drew 0 / Lost 0

Diabloceratops = Won 1 / Drew 2 / Lost 1

Stegouros = Won 1 / Drew 0 / Lost 3

Looking at the results here, it seems as though Toro is clearly the strongest of the 3 Omegas when it comes to a Rare Tournament, and possibly even the strongest in the format.
