JWA Weekly Event November 9-November 15: Counter Attack & Hybrid Showcase

Introduction

Explorers! This Weekly Event features Hybrid Showcase & Counter Attack. Let's go over what we recommend to dart as well as everything else you need to know!

Featured Creatures: Commons

Monday - Tuesday: 36 Attempts

  • Apatoaurus (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk)
  • Irritator Gen 2 (Sunday)
  • Nundasuchus (Thursday)
  • Velociraptor (Global Anytime)

This week's commons again feel somewhat underwhelming. You might prioritize Irritator Gen 2 or Nundasuchus, as they are day specific spawns. However, if you are working on any of the Apato hybrids (feeds Epic Nodopatosaurus which is used to create Legendary Gigaspikasaur, Nodopatotitan, and Stegodeus), there's no harm in choosing it instead. Being a global, anytime spawn puts Velociraptor at the bottom of this suggestion list, but the others aren't so amazing that it would hurt you if you want to fast track your work on the multiple hybrids it feeds (Legendary Indominus Rex, Unique Indoraptor).

Featured Creatures: Rares

Wednesday - Friday: 18 Attempts

  • Nodosaurus (Local 2 Dawn/Dusk/Night)
  • Tyrannosaurus Rex Gen 2 (Global Day/Dawn/Dusk)
  • Utahraptor (Global Anytime)

The Rare options this week also feel a little meh, but that isn't to say don't spend your time on them. This is a moment you'll want to evaluate your own goals to decide that you want to put your focus on. Nodosaurus is ultimately responsible for 3 Legendary hybrids (Gigaspikasaur, Nodopatotitan, Stegodeus), and it's going to require loads of DNA if you are wanting all three. Note that the Epic which Nodo creates, Nodopatosaurs, does spawn in the wild globally during Dawn/Day/Dusk if that has any affect on your thoughts.

Both Trex2 and "Johnny" Utah are also responsible for multiple hybrids which then go on to create additional hybrids. Trex2 is required for Indominus Rex Gen 2 which then goes on to create Indoraptor Gen 2. It can also feed Tyrannolophosaur, one of the components of the raid & arena darling, Tenontorex. As far as Johnny, there are also multiple routes you could take. You can land yourself a Spinotasuchus (and still possibly surprise your opponent with No Escape) by fusing to create Spinotahraptor (another hybrid you can also find in the wild via Local 3, Anytime). If that doesn't work for you, then there's the path to Utarinex through Utasinoraptor.

Featured Creatures: Epics

Saturday - Sunday: 9 Attempts

  • Sinoceratops (Local 1 Anytime)
  • Tyrannosaurus Rex (Global Anytime)
  • Woolly Mammoth (Local 2 Anytime)

What a week of Epic decisions. Everything available can be rolled in to multiple hybrids, so it seems you can never have enough DNA. Our own Piere87 recently completed the entire TRex line (maxed all hybrids plus TRex), and the question about how much DNA was required to accomplish this was raised. Eric Belisle obliged and mathed and came up with 136,250. That's give or take 800 wild Trex depending on your darting average! When again considering how many hybrids all 3 of these are required for, there truly is no wrong answer about what to prioritize. Once again, evaluating your personal goals will steer you in your best direction. When all else fails, just dart what you  happen upon rather than seek out any particular.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events and Trials

Strike Events and Trials feature those nasty Counter Attackers. Through these strikes, you have your opportunity at the following DNA:

  • Concavenator
  • Pteranodon
  • Rajasaurus
  • Dsungaripterus
  • Megalosaurus
  • Tuojiangosaurus
  • Lynthronax
  • Majungasaurus
  • Miragaia

On Friday, we have a Woolly Rhino (!!!) Epic strike, and on Sunday we have an Epic Counter Attack Strike as well. During the Weekend, we'll also get an Epic Trial. Finally, we've got the regularly scheduled Boost Strikes on Tuesday (Attack), Thursday (HP), and Saturday (Speed).

Scents

The Themed Scent of this week is Ankylosauidae Scent. This scent features some good stuff. Here is the full list:

  • Ankylosaurus
  • Nodosaurus
  • Scolosaurus
  • Ankylosaurus Gen 2
  • Euoplocephhalus

Treasure Chase

The treasure chase continues on Saturday & (hopefully) Sunday. You get once chance each for between 500 and 2,500 coins with distance not mattering. It has been confirmed that their intent is only for one pop per day. We can only hope they have plans to eventually change this to the original treasure chase where they refreshed throughout the day and offered much more opportunity at free coins.

Hybrid Pursuit

This Week begins the Entelechops pursuit, so keep your eyes out for the rare, Enteledon!
