Introduction
Hello everybody and welcome to this weeks addition of “Weekly Events” from the ‘GamePress JWA’ Discord. Kelociraptor and Lucus1355 will be looking at what the following week will hold for us in Jurassic World Alive. This weeks theme will be ...
COUNTER ATTACK!!
With the featured creatures, what to dart can depend on the creature themselves, creatures’ hybrids, working out which hybrid or future hybrids would be a best fit for your team and/or to help you achieve any goals you may have; how far these hybrids are away from being created for yourself and finally, by looking at the ‘Meta Tier List’ and the creature tier lists found in the GamePress JWA Discord Server.
Weekly Calendar Explained
Here's a break down the weekly event calendars workings.
First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable which is noted on the calendar.
The amount of attempts to dart creatures comes down to a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options that should be the attempts amount! However, the more creatures that can be darted in a day makes it more difficult to find the creature(s) you want. Below shows the approximate number of attempts assigned to each rarity, which also determines how many attempts you may get. This is the total you are given across all options of that rarity:
- Common = 9 per
- Rare = 6 per
- Epic = 3 per
- Legendary = 1 - 2
- Unique= 1
- Omega = 6
The number of attempts is on the calendar and sometimes strays from the above so check the calendar. Each rarity has a different length of time that a creature will stay on the map for and a different length of time until respawn after de-spawning:
- Common’s and Rare’s spawn for 35 minutes with about 5 minutes between
- Epic’s spawn for 30 minutes with about 5 minutes in between
- Legendary’s & Unique’s spawn for 27 minutes with about 3 minutes in between.
- Omega’s, approximately spawn for 22 minutes with about 2 minutes in between.
(Thanks to Lilikoi of Dom Tuoretto for those cycles)
All Strikes and Trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty (top right) and how many days you have to complete them. The Trials are along the bottom of the calendar in Grey Boxes, with the Treasure Chase at the very bottom (usually Sunday).

Strike Events & Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuits!
Strike Events & Trials
Strike Events and Trials will be 'Counter Attack' Themed and will reward different DNA found at Event Supply Drops (with a very tiny possibility of Legendary) along with a possibility of other goodies.
This week, there is, of course a Gigantspinosaurus Creature Strike on Friday, with the Boost Strikes being on Thursday (Damage), Saturday (Health) and Tuesday (Speed).
Scents
On Thursday and Monday, we will have a Medium Theropod Scent Strike. This scent should draw the following creatures every 2 minutes when activated with one rare guaranteed on the first pull:
- Majungasaurus (Common)
- Lythronax (Common)
- Carnotaurus (Rare)
- Megalosaurus (Rare)
- Concavenator (Epic)
- Rajasaurus (Epic)
(NOTE: These creatures are an approximate of what the scent will contain and will change (if necessary) Wednesday at reset when it is available to be viewed ingame. Check the "i" button for creatures and their percentage chances.)
Treasure Chase
We're looking to have a Normal Treasure Chase on Sunday where distance doesn't matter. You should be able to collect up to 25,000 coins through each period (Sunday will run 11am Eastern to 8pm Eastern, then it will reset until 11am Eastern Monday) - this allows two total chances at the coins and possible other contents!
(NOTE: This is an approximation of what the Treasure Chase should contain. Please check the "i" button for Treasure Chases' chest contents on Sunday.)

Free Cash Link
GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12am Eastern - Tuesday, 11:59pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!
If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.
*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
Survey Says and Parting Words
Welcome to this section called 'Survey Says'. We'll be giving you a survey and then seeing what you Explorers voted for as your answer.
Last weeks article saw the 'OMEGA CREATURE KILLERS' survey with the question/prompt:
"Please name Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary/Unique Creatures:
- Who go toe-to-toe with Omega Creatures in a Skill Tournament?
- Who is able to stand up to them?
- Who Omega Creatures be most afraid of in a Skill Tournament?"
Omega Creatures in Skill Tournaments can be powerful. In Skill Tournaments, all creatures are set to Level 26. Omega Creatures may only use their abilities of those that they have unlocked, depending on the other rarities allowed in a Skill Tournament.
However, Omega Creatures can get into difficulties against Creatures from the other rarities in Skill Tournaments; some that may be able to takedown most Omega Creatures in a fight. We want you to name them!!
With that in mind, the results showing the Creatures of each rarity and who stands up best (at the top) against Omega Creatures are now below!:
This week, with the new update now rolled out, I'm sure that Ludia will already be thinking of there next patch or update.
So, let's get in there and try to let them know, IN THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF WORDS where we'd like their focus to be.
The results being featured in next weeks article.
We would really love to hear about what you plan to dart and why, along with any other opinions that you can share in conversation by joining the ‘GamePress JWA’ Discord Server!!
