Introduction

Explorers! The coming week comes as no surprise, as we were teased the info last week. Freshly announced is the introduction of Ailurarctos, the cute but nasty Panda! We will have 6 attempts under event drops that are outside of the regular Epic attempts and can also earn this DNA in strike towers! Let's get to it and talk about our recommendations of what to dart before we break down the rest this week has to offer!

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = 1 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Wednesday - Thursday: 36 Attempts

  • Deinonychus (Global Anytime) (Poukaidei>Poukandactylus)
  • Phorusrhacos (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Velosrhacos, Phorusaura>Phorurex)
  • Sinosauropteryx (Local 3 Anytime) (Sinokotaraptor)
  • Tanycolagerus (Global Anytime) (Quetzorion)

We kick the week off with some pretty meh options, though very few Commons rock our worlds. Sinosaur, though featured often recently, is still probably the top choice solely for having been around the least amount of time. We like the Terror Bird (Phorusrhacos) as your second choice mainly because the others are global, anytime creatures. Thirty six is a lot of attempts over just a couple days, we have tournament happening over those days, your best use of time truly is to just dart whatever crosses your path.

Featured Creatures: Epics

Friday - Saturday: 12 Attempts

  • Acrocanthosaurus (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Acrocanthops)
  • Indominus Rex Gen 2 (Global Dawn/Dusk) (Indoraptor Gen 2, Indotaurus)
  • Majundaboa (Event Exclusive) (Troodoboa)
  • Megisthoterium (Global Short Range) (Megistocurus)

These Epics don't set our hearts a flutter, but they are all decent choices. We like the two hybrids as the top options, both for their super hybrids as well as the opportunity to save the coins & DNA cost of fusing. Indom2 can be found in the wild, so that even gives "Junk Boa" a slight edge. After that, we'd suggest Megisto. It's a global short range and can't be scented. Acro does have a fantastic hybrid in Acrocanthops, but it is probably the easiest of these Epics to acquire outside of events.

Featured Creatures: Rares

Sunday - Tuesday: 24 Attempts

  • Argentavis (Event Exclusive) (Argenteryx)
  • Carnotaurus (Friday) (Purutaurus>Carnotarkus, Scorpius Rex Gen 2>Scorpius Rex Gen 3, Indotaurus)
  • Irritator (Global Dawn/Dusk/Night) (Pyrritator, Magnapyritor)
  • Oviraptor (Global Short Range) (Ovilophosaurus>Ovilophomoloch)

This is another very solid group of Rares to choose from. We have an event exclusive which was recently hybrid pursuit and also our season reward. Then there is the day locked Carno which is a major hybrid hero with all of the hybrids it's currently responsible for. Oviraptor is a short range option and, along with the two previously mentioned) can not be scented without a themed scent. And finally there's Irritator, it's only out there for Dawn, Dusk, and Night, and truly feels like it's on the rarer side for a rare. So how do you choose when there really isn't one that super stands out? If you're still working on the Carno line, then we think Carno is a great choice. However, Argentavis's hybrid remains a tournament force and could still yet receive a super hybrid. We do like these two over the other options, though those are both decent in their own rights. When we have a group like this, perhaps your best idea would be to split your attempts over some or all of the choices.

Strike Events, Trials, Scents, Treasure Chase, and Hybrid Pursuit!

Strike Events & Trials

Strike Events & Trials will also be April Fools themed and will reward the same Common, Rare, and Epic DNA found under event drops.

The calendar does not specify any dinosaur specific strikes this week, but there are FIVE marked with a question mark. Anything goes with those, and we do expect at least one of them will feature some crazy creature as in years past. We've also got the recently revamped Boost Strikes on Thursday (Attack), Sunday (HP), and Tuesday (Speed).

Scents

We have a basic scent strike on Monday, and prior to that will be April Fools scent on Thursday. This scent can draw any of the creatures found under the event drops when activated.

Treasure Chase

There is a treasure chase spread over Friday through Sunday looking similar to what we had for St Patricks. In our early information, we were told you can collect up to 25,000 coins per day from the April Fools Treasure Chases. Often times with these special chases, they will add other resources to the contents. Be sure to check the "i" button before collecting in case you need to clear space for FIPs.

Hybrid Pursuit

This week concludes the Glyptoceras pursuit with the Americas Regional Stegoceras!

Daily Dino & Tournament Info

We are winding down this month and have our last few days with our daily creature as Stygimoloch and arena season reward, the Event Exclusive Argentavis!

We head in to the final weekend of Alliance Championships in the form of Indotaurus. The last tournament will be Epic/Legendary (All) creatures with Balanced Team Rules (must have 4 of each), no stun abilities. This one is for HARD CASH! These rewards only come around for 5 week ACs!

Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12pm Eastern - Tuesday, 12pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
