Introduction
Weekly Calendar Explained
Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.
Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.
- Common = 9 per
- Rare = 6 per
- Epic = 3 per
- Legendary/Unique = Varies but tends to usually be 2 total
They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last 1 hour with about 5 minutes between. Epics last 2 hours with about 5 minutes in between.
All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.
Featured Creatures: Commons
Wednesday - Thursday: 27 attempts
- Coelurosauravus (Park Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Coelhaast)
- Eremotherium (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Eremocerus)
- Sinosauropteryx (Local 3 Anytime) (Sinokotaraptor)
Overall
These are the same Commons we had for this event last time, and it's actually a rare time when at least two do stand out over the third. Coel & Eremo are top tier in this rarity, and both can be used in this weekend's tournament. They each also have a very solid hybrid, so we'd recommend you target these for your darting, perhaps sticking to whichever crosses your path. It never feels worth the time to specifically seek out a particular common when we have so many attempts over just a couple days.

As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Epics
Friday - Saturday: 12 Attempts
- Beta (Event Exclusive) (Compsoraptor)
- Bumpy (Event Exclusive) (Ankylomoloch>Ankylos Lux)
- Moros Intrepidus (Event Exclusive) (Thylos Intrepidus)
Overall
Here we have another pool of Event Exclusives, and Beta is probably the best (and cutest) of the bunch. You're probably well aware right now how dominant Compsoraptor is in the arena, though of course the same can be said for Ankylos Lux. The main difference here is Beta has been around much less time than Bumpy. Moros has also not been around very long, but the hybrid isn't currently of much relevance.
As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Legendaries
Sunday: 2 Attempts
- Ankylomoloch (Event Exclusive) (Ankylos Lux)
- Dreadactylus (Event Exclusive)
- Lystrosuchus (Event Exclusive) (Lystrosavis)
- Parasaurolophus Lux (Global Short Range) (Parasauthops)
- Tragodistis (Event Exclusive)
Overall
Last time we had Cute Creatures, we only had to choose between two options. This year, we have a whole new pool of FIVE, and the decision is far from easy. The four hybrids are really good, and we would suggest you use your attempts on some combination of them. PLux can be found in the wild and should be a lot easier with the new creature tracker. Plus the hybrid is raidable each week. We would rank the order of the others based on accessibility of ingredients. AMol and Lystro each require an event exclusive component, and both of them create a great hybrid. We highly suggest you use your attempts on one (or both) of those. Dread and Tragod contain parts found in the wild, so you're just as well off spending some time hunting to fuse. You are also more likely to receive DNA donations from your alliance if you request something found in the wild.
As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Uniques
Sunday: 1 Attempt
- Compsoraptor (Event Exclusive)
- Entelolania (Event Exclusive)
- Geminititan (Event Exclusive)
- Lystrosavis (Event Exclusive)
- Utarinex (Event Exclusive)
Overall
We weren't gifted a Unique attempt last time we had this event, so we're super grateful that this time we are. However, this is an extremely tough decision, as all of these are pretty great. We'll set Lazy Lania (Entel) aside, as all components can be hunted in the wild. The other 4 each contain an Event Exclusive, but how do we choose between them? This will depend on your goals and how you feel about speculation/datamine. Right now, we know Compsoraptor is an arena monster, so if you are wanting to get with those times then this is your choice. We don't encounter much for Lystro likely due to not many people having built & leveled, but we do know this one was mighty tough to face in its last qualifying tournament (unfortunately, it will not qualify for any tournament this month). As mentioned earlier, Rinex did receive a bit of a buff recently, but we aren't seeing it invade the upper arenas. This one, however, will be eligible in tournament this month, and may be your x factor to carry you to new heights. Lastly, there's Gem, still a bit of a raid darling, and if you've been keeping up with our datamine, you've seen that a super duper hybrid may be in her near future. It may behoove you to get in front of that for if/when it enters the game!
As of Wednesday morning:
Featured Creatures: Rares
Monday - Tuesday: 18 Attempts
- Archaeopteryx (Local 3 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Argenteryx)
- Dracorex (Event Exclusive) (Utarinex)
- Tenontosaurus (Event Exclusive) (Tenontorex)
Overall
On first glance, these Rares feel underwhelming, but they really aren't. Of course we see two event exclusives, and one of them (Draco) will be a beast in this weekend's tournament. Its hybrid also received a a decent buff and can be used in the double points tournament at the end of the month. Tent has a decent hybrid in Tenontorex, another which can be used for the double points tournament later this month. While it feels like we never see this one in events, it's actually been featured more than the other two over the past 18ish months. Archae is a solid option with the mighty Argenteryx hybrid we all love to see on our draw and hate to see on our opponent's. If you're feeling torn, split your attempts over multiple options. There is no rule saying you need to use them all on the same one!

Free Cash Link
GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12am Eastern - Tuesday, 11:59pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!
If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.
*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.
