JWA Patch Notes 3.4: New Feature!

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Explorers!

Patch notes for update 3.4 are here, and besides new creatures and reworks, an update isn’t complete with new features.

May I introduce you to the new mechanic that would perhaps benefit your JWA playstyle!

GPS-Less Play

Now this new mechanic is what some busy JWA players may have been hoping for a pretty long time.

Introducing the GPS-Less Play mode, in which this mode would now allow players to capture any creatures roaming on the map without having you turn on your GPS and go outside.

From my own perspective, I believe this would be one of the more useful tools to have players enjoy the game by means of if they are physically unable to go out for darting. Thus, being efficient to those who have their own personal needs in the real world.

Also, according to JamCity’s own description, it seems that this new mechanic is controllable in the game’s own settings, as they mentioned that we can always turn on and off the GPS depending upon your current situation. This. especially if an event isn’t in your own radius where you would have to require your own GPS to find the event on the real map.

From what we saw from a couple of images from JamCity’s own website, we may as well place them here for some more information on how this new mechanism may work out for you!

How It Works?

We surely are excited on how this mechanic would work, especially to those who usually don’t have excess to dart exclusive creatures during some themed events. For now, we are UNCERTAIN whether this new mode could allow players to dart other creatures from multiple zones, especially to those who are building up new hybrids or darting specific creatures. For example, you’re in zone 1 but you want to get to zone 2 for Fukuiraptor DNA through darting.

Additionally, as confirmation from JamCity suggests that short-range spawns are not eligible for darting using this new feature. So, I guess it’s a bit of a shame for those who are anticipating to use this new mechanic on darting Tiger, Panthera, Parasaurolophus Lux, Rexy or Dracovenator. This, especially when I’m in the process of building up my Atrocimoloch and Constrictoraptor.

As the confirmation on whether this new feature allows players to dart other creatures from different zones, please stay tuned for the latest news announced by both JamCity and GamePress!

Parting Words

We are surely looking forward to seeing how this new feature would work in this update, and may as well try it out once the update goes live.
