JWA Weekly Events Mar 1 to Mar 7: We Can Save Them

Submit Feedback or Error

Introduction

Hello explorers! Luke AKA Lucus1355 and Kelly AKA Kelociraptor here from GamePress and welcome to “Weekly Events”.

This week on the Jurassic World Alive Planet, we see the extinct yet much loved and well-known prehistoric creatures that walked the Earth, from millions of years to just thousands of years ago, and also the ancestors of the endangered creatures in our world today.

You can support any of the 14 species of prehistoric creatures this week. By using up to 15 of your darts per attempt, you will retrieve some of that species DNA. With enough of a species’ DNA, you will be able to create and give life to 1 or more of these prehistoric creatures. This, enabling them to be supported and grow in our world once more.

It’s “We Can Save Them” Week.

So, let’s talk about Luke’s recommendations of which beloved creatures to dart, before Kelly breaks down the rest that this supportive week has to offer.

Weekly Calendar Explained

Before we dive in to the week, we'll break down how the weekly event calendar works. First, each day is considered started at 10am Eastern on that day. It is possible that wherever you live, it might actually be the previous or next day, so we wanted to help clarify how they determine what day it is. At this time, event creatures & strike towers will be updated as applicable. This information is also noted on the calendar.

Ever wonder why some weeks we’re given 45 attempts on commons and others only 18 or 27? The reason for this is that the volume of attempts is a simple math calculation based on the rarity and number of options. Take the rarity base number and multiply by the number of options and voila, you have your total allowed attempts! Having more variety in the options yields that many more attempts. The flip side is it may be more difficult to find the creature(s) you favor. Below details the number of attempts assigned to each rarity which is used to determine how many attempts you receive (though occasionally, they stray from this math). This is the total you are allotted across all options, so it is important to select your choices wisely.

  • Common = 9 per
  • Rare = 6 per
  • Epic = 3 per
  • Legendary/Unique = Varies but tends to usually be 2 total

They recently started putting the number of attempts on the calendar again and sometimes stray from the above. Refer to the calendar for the confirmed counts. Each rarity has a different length of time the spawn lasts followed by a different length of time until respawn after despawn. Commons and Rares will last about 35 minutes with about 5 minutes between. Epics last about 30 minutes with about 5 minutes in between. Legendaries & Uniques last about 27 minutes with about 3 minutes in between. Many thanks to Lilikoi of Dom Tuoretto for helping us nail down those cycle times!

All strikes and trials are represented on the calendar with the level of difficulty along with how long they last (1 day or 2 days). The trials are shown along the very bottom in gray boxes.

Featured Creatures: Commons

Wednesday - Thursday: 36 attempts

  • Glyptodon (Local 1 Anytime) (Andrewtodon>Andrewtops, Glyptoceras)
  • Miragaia (Local 1 Day/Dawn/Dusk) (Megalogaia, Dsungaia>Dsungascorpios)
  • Stegosaurus (Saturday ) (Stegoceratops>Monostegotops, Stegodeus)
  • Suchomimus (Battle Exclusive) (Suchotator>Thylacotator>Thylos Intrepidus)

Glyptodon is here and with 40% armour and immunity to being vulnerable and speed decrease. It’s able to precise attack, imposing vulnerability and reducing the opponent’s speed. This coupled with its ‘Resilient Rampage’ attack can cause some serious damage. It’s a top choice for Common tournaments.

Miragaia is a great creature for slowing down its opponent’s thanks mainly to its ‘Decelerating Counter’ but its ‘Shielded Decelerating Strike’ too, which also gives it shields. It can priority heal half of its health, cleansing all its negative effects. It’s a thought for consideration for your Common tournaments’ team.

Stegosaurus has 116 speed, 20% armour a decent amount of health for a Common creature. It can attack all opponents with ‘Group Decelerating Strike’, slowing them and can also impose vulnerability using its other ability’ Resilient Strike’.

Suchomimus has the same health as Stegosaurus, standing at 3900. It has ‘No Escape’ stopping opponents from swapping out. With 1 ability, breaking shields and bypassing armour, the other attack causing 33% damage over time for 3 turns. It’s a top choice for Common tournaments.

Out of these common creatures and their hybrids, here is a tier list showing their usefulness in PvP battles:

  • Ailurarctos (Event Exclusive)
  • Dodo (Park Anytime) (Dodocevia)
  • Pulmonoscorpios (Event Exclusive) (Dsungascorpios)

Ailurarctos comes with 75% resistance to speed reduction and vulnerability. ‘Counter Power Heal’ and its ‘Swap In Heal’, heals Ailurarctos, with its ‘Ferocious Shielded Heal’ but also increases its damage and gets shields. Ailurarctos’ ‘Alert Decelerating Impact’ may stun or reduce its opponents speed (dependent on health), imposing vulnerability either way. Its ‘Fierce Rampage’ causes 2700 damage, breaking shields and bypassing armour.

The Dodo is a flock that can’t be slowed or have its crit chance reduced, while being 33% resistance to rend. With its ‘Protective Alert [2]’ reducing the opponents damage and can rally-heal or impose vulnerability onto the opponent depending on its health. ‘Flightless Strike’ will bypass armour and is a sure crit. The precise ‘Berserk Alert Decoy’ ability does this also, but sacrifices 33% health in using it, is disabled if only one flock member remains, and causes the Dodo to automatically swap out.

Pulmonoscorpius is a 30% armoured flock that’s immune to damage over time and critical reductions, 50% resistant to stun and 33% to rend. It causes damage over time with its ‘Poison Counter’ and ‘No Escape’ stops opponents from swapping out. Its ‘Enfeebling Stinger’ causes damage over time and ‘Obstructing Fierce Impact’ makes opponents unable to swap out, with both breaking shields and bypassing armour. ‘Enfeebling Impact’ is its biggest weapon, causing stun, damage over time, nullifying all positive effects and stopping the opponent from swapping out. It’s a top choice for Epic and Legendary tournaments.

Out of these epic creatures and their hybrids, here is a tier list showing their usefulness in PvP battles:

This, coupled with ‘Taunting Resilient Group Impact’ can cause a lot of damage to all opponents. This ability also gives Bumpy shields and imposes vulnerability onto its opponents. It’s a thought for consideration for your Epic tournaments’ team.

Titanoboa has a 100% resistance to damage reductions and taunt; 75% to swap prevention, 67% to stun and 50% resistant to having its speed reduced. Opponents on escape from Titanoboa are hit with 2600 damage, likewise for its ‘Precise Rampage’. It is able to slow its opponents down and impose vulnerability onto them. It has a precise attack, reducing the opponent’s speed and giving Cervalces a shield. It’s also able to impose vulnerability.

Dire Wolf is immune to swap prevention and critical chance reductions, 50% resistance to damage over time and speed reductions and is fairly quick at 127 speed. Further able to increase its speed, and also attack and that of its team mates with ‘Howl’. Free Cash Link

GamePress is excited to be able to provide weekly cash links worth $50 cash in game! The code can only be claimed once a week and you must click on it using the device you play JWA with. It will be active from Wednesday, 12am Eastern - Tuesday, 11:59pm Eastern every week. This is a promotional code provided courtesy of Ludia, Inc and is exclusive to GamePress. We will post this link in an article we publish each week. We will post all articles on our Twitter so follow us at NewsJWA on Twitter so you don't miss out!

If you enjoy our content, please help let others know this is the source of the cash links people just post for the taking all over social media. The same goes for YouTuber Gaming Beaver. All links have a purpose behind them, and that is to promote some kind of media and drive traffic. Most people simply do not know there is actually a purpose behind these links, and we'd like to try to educate as many as we can. Take a moment to politely explain this in these posts. It isn't free money some random stranger on the internet whipped up. Every time these links are shared, it is taking opportunity away from an intended purpose. Please think about that or maybe find some time to visit Gaming Beaver, GamePress JWA, and the Ludia social medias.

*We can not control when Ludia officially deploys these links, but these are the times they are planned to be active.

Parting Words

“When choosing what to dart, it can depend on your player level. So, think about the creatures’ hybrids, working out which hybrid or future hybrids would be a best fit for your team or to help you achieve any goals you may have; how far these hybrids are away from being created for yourself and finally, by looking at ‘creature tier lists’, for example the ‘Popularity’ and ‘Community Rankings’ tier lists’.”

It's a shame that creatures end up on the endangered list in this world, fighting for their species survival or like most prehistoric creatures become extinct, only to be remembered through what archaeologists excavate of them. We can still help to save those creatures today on the endangered species list. Those extinct prehistoric creatures once lost, live on through Jurassic World Alive so we may enjoy their splendour and magnificence

We’d love to hear about what you plan to dart and why. Curious what others are planning to dart? Join the GamePress Discord, check out the Voting Poll, and get in the discussion today!

And leaving you with that, from Kelly and Luke here at GamePress, thank you for reading and please, we can save them!

All stats stated in this article are with creatures set to Level 26 with no stat boosts.
