Hello again Explorers! It's a new week and we have a lot of events going on this week! Today we wrapped up the weekend Rare Skills Tournament. Congratulations to all the winners! There was a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of the tournament where the dinos weren't level set, but they seemed to get that fixed relatively quickly. This is also the last week for increased epic spawns so take advantage and go out and get those dinos!

In addition to the regular weekly events, we also have another themed scent for sale, the September daily dino was announced and the end of Anky season will be ending soon! Here's what you need to know.
Amphibian Scent
The themed scent this week is an Amphibian Scent and this is what you can expect from it.
All 3 rare dinos in this scent are components of some pretty strong hybrids. Koola 2 is a key dino in Geminititan, Koola Gen2 is used for Diplovenator, and Dimetrodon is need for Magnapyritor. Remember though, this scent will only guarantee one rare dino. You have a chance to get more than one rare dino so if you are needing one of the 3, this might be a good investment for you
You are much more likely to see common dinos, however, so expect to mostly see Diplocaulus, Dimetrodon Gen2, and Ophiacodon.
September Daily Reward Announced
This week is the last week for Diplodocus as the daily mission reward. The reward for September has already been announced and it is Brachiosaurus
Brachiosaurus can normally be found in Local 1, but has been hard to hunt down from what we have heard. Sauropods are also notoriously difficult to dart for most people so 100 guaranteed DNA per day sounds like a pretty good deal. Especially if you are working on the unique Ardentismaxima.
August PVP Season is coming to an end
The current PVP season (different from the tournaments run on the weekends) is set to end on Tuesday, September 3rd. The rewards are based on your highest trophy count of the season and the DNA is Ankylosaurus.
So use this week to push to that next tier if you are able! Anky DNA is very coveted right now so every bit of DNA counts!
When will the next season start?
According to their original post about the PVP season"
all Seasons will start on the first Monday of each month, with the exception of holidays, at which point the Season will commence on the first non-holiday day of the week
Monday, September 2nd is actually the first Monday of that month but that is a Canadian Holiday. Since the previous season ends on Tuesday September 3rd we aren't really sure when the next one will begin. And we also have Patch 1.9 to think about. They have already mentioned some exciting things coming so maybe we will see patch notes and launch of 1.9 in between the next PVP season? We will be sure to keep you updated as we know more!
