Meet the JWA Gamepress Staff!

Welcome Explorers! It's 2022, and we are well overdue for a NEW Meet the JWA GamePress Staff! Curious to know who is moderating our discord, writing your guides, bringing you up-to-date content and battling it out with each other on those tier lists (and in the arena)... Now is your chance! Some of our staff has been with us since the very beginning, and some are brand new just getting started. Our little JWA Family is comprised of top rated players, casual players, and everything in-between! We all bring a little something special to the team and we hope you enjoy learning a little something about us!

Pierebot87: Pierebot has been an admin on the JWA server for almost 2 years now. She always has her eyes in the chat, so make sure you are behaving! She really enjoys writing about the game and has recently started improving her advantage tournament teams since it brings her much more joy than the arena. She is a proud Texan and loves tacos, memes, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. When she's not playing the game, running the JWA discord, or chatting with her alliance mates, she keeping up with her 2 boys at home. Her favorite creature will always be Monostegotops

 Bart: Bart is one of the Top Admins around the server, Quetzorion lover, and one of the main writers at GamePress. Hailing from the Netherlands, he began playing in Summer 2018. When not playing JWA, he has to balance his Discord duties with university and other real life responsibilities! Arguably the most trigger-happy moderator in the server, he is the mastermind and host of the "Update Betting", so chances are you know of his antics! He did meet one of our other moderators on an exchange, you can find out who a bit later in the article!

Kelociraptor: Arizona State University alum and Scottsdale Arizona resident, Kelociraptor is our sole Lead Moderator and has been a JWA player since about day one. She spends much time hunting in the park outside her home and thrives in leading the great folks of Kelliance. Her favorite real creatures are her two little girl cats, Payton and Cat Tillman. Despite the complete lack of usability, Magnapyritor will always hold that JWA true number one spot even if sometimes by the narrowest of margins.

Castal: Moderator Castal is a former mobile game developer and current professional bug hunter (a.k.a. QA tester) who frequently strains her eyes rolling them at JWA’s many “quirks.” She hails from Canada’s smallest province and her username is a portmanteau of her beloved dogs’ names. When she’s not playing JWA, she’s whipping up tasty baked goods or watching too much TV. She is not a dude and is always amused when newbies to the Discord call her “bro.”

Steph: After nearly 3 years as a GP moderator, you'll still find Steph liking posts with her big purple heart emoji and discussing food - pizza in particular - in the lounge. While she doesn't push in arena because she loves the variety in the Library, you'll often find her in the top 500 in tournaments. Even though all the tourney changes are frustrating, she loves that the new rules forces you to think and play strategically. Suchotator was her first JWA love but these days the dark horses - Eremoceros and Compsognathus - are her favorites on her arena team.

Ghoul298: Ghoul is our newest Apex tier and has been on the JWA scene for almost 3 years now (most of which spent lurking in the Library!). Living in the west of Ireland, he can be found in the laboratory, searching for new medicines from marine life, or going on long beach walks with his dogs. Even though he loves the sea, the icy Gorgotrebax is his go-to creature in the arena. While he may seem a bit cold himself, behind that frosty shell is a friendly phantom who's always up for a chat! And you may recognize this photo from above. Ghoul and Bart were able to once meet in person!.

BigBangScience: BigBangScience is our mad scientist of the group but don't let this Doctor of Science fool you, there is nothing uptight about this mo-hawked, pool playing, dog loving player. With more accounts then we can count on our fingers, you'll find Big Bang building sanctuaries with multiple co-ops and is always up for a good laugh.

Dinotris: Dinotris is from Slovenia and has been playing JWA since the end of Raptors meta. He didn,t know what name to use and made one up from "Dino" and "tris" which means "three of a kind" in Slovenian language. He enjoys playing skill tournaments, and his favorite dino is Gorgosuchus.

Hael: Hael is our newest moderator and has played JW:A on and off the last four years, going much more in the last two. Hael's favorite creatures in the game are Entelomoth, Testacornibus, and Acrocanthops. A Graduate student studying Clinical Psych, other time sinks are Pokemon nuzlockes/VGC, Destiny 2, Starcraft 2, and Okami.

Martian: Martin is a spry 22 years young and is from California. He typically goes by the nickname “Martian” by family and people in the JWA discord community. By day he's working as an apprentice electrician trying to eventually move up to becoming a licensed electrician, where by evening you'll find him occupied playing JWA almost every day since since global launch. His favorite JWA creature is Geminititan and will always remain tyrant tier enough in his eyes to run on his team. Martian thoroughly enjoys helping Gamepress make tier lists as guides for the community to enjoy and also helping others in the discord form their team(s).

Shyvalry: A proud Indiana native, Shyvalry has been playing the game for 3 years. His favorite dinos are Utarinex, Alloraptor, and Gigaspika. Outside of the game, he loves spending time with his wife and dog, designing games, and watching basketball. If you see a max boosted Alloraptor in Gyro or Shores, wave hi, it’s probably him!

MattE: If you don’t know who MattE is, then you are definitely not playing this game to the best of your ability! Matt is the creator of the amazing JWA Field Guide app that we all use and love! If you don’t have it, check out our article below for the links! He is also part of the brains behind helping us with tier lists, battle simulations and all things data based! Hailing from Toronto Canada, Matt has been playing JWA since Day #1 of the Beta, his Favorite dino is Magna, and he is an invaluable asset to our team!

Eduardo: Eduardo lives out in the midwestern United States and has been playing the game since its release. He's a major tournament force and a huge ceratopsian fan. To escape JWA, he is a big fisherman and will usually get up at 4 in the morning to go out and catch some big catfish or whatever else is looking to bite. The catfish in his profile photo is Black Bullhead Axel. Eduardo also a mathematician.

ColoMtn: II was on site with a client back in Aug 2017 when ColoMtn was asked to play a "PoGo" Jurassic World game. Being polite, he downloaded the game and ended up playing every day since. From that time, he and his wife have been blessed with 2 wonderful daughters. He can't say he would be around this game today if it wasn't for two amazing alliances (Tyrant Predatorz, Tyrant Predatorz G2) and the many friends made along the way. His latest enjoyment in JWA has come through providing the JWA community with data mining insights!

Jimbohi: Formerly known as "Jimbo stuns" but more recently as "Ludia Stooge", you likely know him. He thoroughly enjoys the game since his gameplay no longer requires the reliance on stuns! He has been datamining for a bit over 2 years now, and the highlight of every week comes via the excitement of finding some new line of code or badge/emote. The joy is just as great as the first ones he ever found! He enjoys answering any and all questions regarding dataming and is always willing to help pull out images or animations - all you have to do is ask!
