Blastoise vs Feraligatr or Gen1 vs Gen2
I'm wondering if Gen1 starters are preferd against the Gen2lings.. Specificly it's Blastoise W/HP with 2291 CP has as Feraligatr W/HP 2721 CP the same 8.5 Rating..
Same thing with Thyphlosion vs Charizard.. while they dont have the same - but a really similar moveset, Thyphlosion has a 8 - Charizard 8.5..
Only Venusaur is obviously the superior one..
Anyone with the same feelings?
Which one do you prefer?

Not sure how Gamepress decides on those ratings. Feraligatr at the same level is a better attacker than Blastoise in the same matchups (and both worse than Vaporeon). They have very similar effective health (tankiness) since Feraligatr has slightly better HP and Blastoise slightly better defense. Hence the attack stat says it all: Feraligatr will do around 12% more dps with the same moves, but will take slightly more damage in return and thus slightly less potion-efficient. I guess at the SAME and lower CP (not level), Blastoise would be the better prestiger for the same reason though.
Ah yeah.. since Blastoise has lower attack stats, he should be the better prestiger.Seems legit.
Anyway..
the alligator has 20% more CPs -> higher Gym placement.
10% Better acc. Stats -> better attacker
10% in a scale from 1-10 should at least be 0.5 difference :D
I guess typhlosion ist more similar to Charizard and got the worse Mark..
Seems a bit like someone likes the gen1s better..
I think, yeah it's true. Blastoise is the more sympathic guy :D
I agree. never having played the main games, I never understood why folk were so enthusiastic about getting themselves a Blastoise. Even a low IV Vaporeon does all the same things better. And powered up with good IVs can still hold a decent place in a gym. Feraligatr looks cool, but won't last if you place it in a decent gym. I think 8.5 is probably about right for the gatr, but way too much for the pumped up tortoise.
