Kingdra: Water Gun vs. Waterfall
I have a 98% legacy Water Gun Kingdra that I uses from time to time in legendary raids that are weak to water. Should I fast FM for waterfall or hold?

My logic was that I have a couple of good Lapras and a solid Cloyster and Ice vs. Dragon is better than Dragon vs. Dragon and there is no such thinking as a Dragonite boss raid. However there are fire legendaries for which as many strong water types are helpful even if I have a couple of solid vapes.
If we're talking in terms of the old gym scene, a number of players didn't have access to ice types. Lapras was dependent on hatching or scanners for pretty much everyone regardless of biome and Jynx and Shellder I hear are very rare in some parts of the world. Lacking ice-types or a Dragonite, Kingdra used to be a decent second-tier option for taking on Dragonites in gyms. Double resistance to Vaporeon's water attacks certainly wasn't a bad thing either, although Vaporeon always had lousy damage output as a defender due to how bad WG is in that role.
Back in the days when Vaporeon was prevalent in the gym scenes (way before Raikou was available):
All-dragon Kingdra was designed for taking down Vaporeons. Once you master dodging, you will know how good Kingdra is. Fyi, Kingdra is DOUBLE RESISTANT against all Vaporeons attacks. Quite a little gem for pro players.
Nowadays, gym and raid scenes favor attack prowess. Kingdra, with its mid-level attack stat, is relegated to the 2nd tier mon, marvelled for its great tankiness, but not much relevance beyond personal preference.
