100iv Counter Hyper Beam Ursaring worth powering to level 30?

I have approximately 1.5M stardust, so yea..I'm quite conservative with dust. I caught a 200+cp 100iv teddiursa today and evolved it to get a 538CP Counter Hyper Beam Ursaring. Is it worth powering up? Is it good to attack into Snorlax and Blissey? Is it a good general attacker?

To give context on whether ursaring would be worth it in my situation: some of my attacking squad right now includes:
2.7K Counter Dynamic Punch Machamp (96iv)
2050CP Karate Chop Cross Chop Machamp (60iv)
2,500CP Lick Hyper Beam Snorlax (49iv)
1150CP Confusion Future Sight Alakazam (100iv)
2.5CP Mudslap Stone Edge Rhydon (89iv)
3030CP Dragon Breath Dragon Claw Dragonite (89iv)
1050CP Confusion Solar Beam Exeggutor (87iv)
600CP Rock Smash Dynamic Punch Poliwrath (89iv)

A Counter/Hyper beam Usaring ranks as the 11th best when attacking into Blissey, which is really, really good. Of your list, only the Counter/DP Machamp does better, and it ties with the Confusion/Solar Exeggutor (provided they are the same level)

It's an excellent general attacker nontheless. I'd power it up. Heck I'd power it up if I had 200k dust, never mind 1.5 million.

I believe it'll cost you a measly 100-110k dust to bring it to level 30. It's definitely worth it, especially considering the perfect IVs. Go for it.

Power that baby up by all means, you will find it quite useful for Snorlax and lower level Blisseys (say, around or sub-2.8k). You may find it challenging for Ursaring to beat a high level 3k Blissey as I don't think Ursaring has the mix of DPS and survivability to overcome those.

I like Ursaring very much and have several good ones, but overall a balanced viewpoint is that I do not think it will outperform the Dragonite, Machamp and Exeggutor in your lineup.

Just to add on, my best Ursaring is 2307CP, 82%IV, 15/8/14, Counter/Hyper Beam.

  • No issues with Snorlaxes of any level (but dodging is a must)
  • No issues with sub-2.8k Blisseys
  • Has issues with 3k Blisseys - it gets killed or faces timeout.

Congratz. This teddy is actually quite underrated, especially against Blissey. He actually has the strongest hyperbeam in game right now, even more powerful than an equivalent level dragonite's hyperbeam.

He can defeat a 3k+ zh/dg blissey without timeout, though require dodging. (https://youtu.be/RBX3FXuCb3I)

Thanks for the cool video, you can see that the margins are really thin and everything depends on successfully dodging. For me, maybe that can be pulled off 1 out of 5 of my similar Ursaring battles but game lag etc eats the fine margins up in my experience.

Any video of Ursaring vs other moveset 3k+ Blisseys? With Hyperbeam my Ursarings have never survived.

Should I power up a good attacking Pokémon with the best move set and 100% iv's? The frequentcy of these questions always still surprise me. Sounds like a transfer to me

I evolved a 96% Ursaring (14/15/14) with the same moveset and didn't even realize until now that Ursaring has the strongest Hyper Beam in the game right now (D'oh!). I need to start powering mine up.
