I wish all move sets were considered, not just the best for each mon. What tier is a Snorlax with L/BS in??

I totally agree with you, even not listed L/BS Snorlax would be a lot better than any Dragonite for example. Also at least in the way I see it, Vaporeon should be the same tier or higher than mons like Gyarados or Ryhdon, he has lower cp, yes, but double weakness of Rhydon and Gyarados makes them worst defenders than Vaporeon.

I can kill 2 Gyarados in a row with a low level Jolteon without even powering him up, the same case for Rhydon, easily killed by almost any water and grass type, while I don't think I can take out 2 Vaporeons with any low level grass or electric mon.

A part from that there are not many surprises on the list, the most ones I was looking forward was Tyranitar and Ampharos, it will take a lot of months for me to get them and I wanted to know how good they are on gym, seeing that none of them is a "top tier" and even seeing the low tier of Ampharos makes me wonder why they made Mareep so rare....

They put Heavy Slam in the rated combos too, so in your case, your move set to Defense is a B.

I think they are working in Attackers right now, so, in few days we may have that info too.

Some of the decisions they made are a bit questionable but I can see where they're coming from. Exeggutor, Vaporeon and Slowbro are kinda down there, huh

They justify their results pretty well. Everyone may have different set-ups or assumptions of gym defending analysis, but the results presented by Gamepress do fit in their own model. And I believe that their assumptions and pre-conditions for analyzing are convincing. Great work!

I think he will be somewhere in the top too, maybe even in tier 1...

Double effective against Tyranitar
Effective against Blissey, snorlax and lapras

Makes him the best counter to half of the defender list...

He'll be tier 1 for sure, because of what you just mentioned. Being the best counter to the best defenders is a guaranteed tier 1.

Gyarados and Rhydon Tier 3 and Vaporeon 2.5.

I think they are better cuz CP, but they are terrible double weakness mons.

Vaporeon It's a little bit better than those, and the rest of mons are good for me.

Vaporeon is a better defender than Rhydon, Gyarados, Tyranitar and probably even with Dragonite.

Would it be possible to integrate the previous defender list with the current in order to have legacy movesets in their since that s what's out there the most and I'm sure some are still viable for powering up

I think it's a decent list.

It's a shame so many good defenders have limited viability due to gyms being ranked on cp. For me changing the ranking would make gym battling so much more interesting, particularly if gyms were limited to only one slot per species.
