Lyra & Meganium
Lyra's Sync Grid has given it everything people have been saying it needed since its release, and now that it's finally here the pair has snatched several niches away from its fellow Supports to become a highly versatile pair; you can't go wrong with a fully built Lyra on any team looking for supportive buffs. Beyond the myriad of team-wide stat bonuses the Grid gave it (among them the massively powerful Critical Squad), it also completely changed the way Sun teams function by putting Solarize on a pair that's both unlimited and quite good on its own. In today's Pokemon Masters, if you use Sun, you use Meganium without exception; even if you don't, the pair's excellent buff toolbox and respectable bulk make it a welcome addition to any team looking to round out its offensive stat boosts.

Pokemon Analysis
Overview
The popular Gen 2 protagonists comprise one of the healthiest Sync Pairs in the game with a whopping 722 HP at level 100. Lyra & Meganium are definitely a Support Pair to look out for; not only are they healthy, but they also pack a huge arsenal of offensive buffs for your entire team. The grassy duo can lower enemy Sp.Def while buffing your team with Speed, Attack, Special Attack and even Dire Hit buffs.
However, it doesn’t even end there - on top of all that, Meganium has access to Light Screen, which means enemies will deal less Special damage to your entire team.
Strengths
High Health and Team Support
Lyra & Meganium come with an absurd 722 HP, which makes them one of the healthiest Sync Pairs in the game.
Lyra’s Dire Hit All raises all allied Sync Pairs' Critical Hit Chance by +1, which is always a useful offensive buff. The team’s main damage dealer will greatly appreciate the increased chance to deal Critical Hit damage.
“Sunny Side Up!” is Lyra and Meganium’s unique buff, raising all allies’ Speed, Attack & Sp.Atk by +1. During Sunny weather, the given buffs will be doubled! Meganium doesn’t care if you are a Physical or Special attacker - she’ll befriend you for who you are and help you grow stronger together!
Defensively, Light Screen will reduce enemy’s overall Special Attack damage done on your entire team as long as it’s up.
Weaknesses
High Health is good but comes at a price.
As Meganium is one of the healthiest units in the game, it suffers a fate similar to fellow HP titan Blissey. Having too much Health generally means low Defense & Special Defense, which makes them take a lot of damage and somewhat offsets the point of high HP in the first place.
Buffs have high opportunity cost.
Lyra & Meganium have multiple fantastic tools to use, so it is no big surprise that their kit also suffers from a lot of drawbacks.
If one attempts to make sure that Lyra uses all her offensive support moves, it will take so much time that one risks losing Meganium - she isn’t that bulky, thanks to her low Special Defense and even lower Defense. In other words, while Lyra wants to make sure your team gets everything they possible could need offensively, she might be forced to reconsider and work on defensive capabilities first. For example, making Meganium use Light Screen first, which delays your entire team’s damage output by few turns.
Team Synergy
Meganium has a lot of tools, and all she really needs are hands on deck to help her use those tools. She really appreciates a Support Sync Pair that can boost her defensive capabilities, or use Sunny Day. During Sunny weather, Meganium will double up on the buffs from “Sunny Side Up!” and her passive Solar Shield prevents her from being affected by any kind of status conditions as long as the sun is out!
Consider pairing her with Roxanne and Nosepass, so that they can buff her Speed & Defense at the same time. Together with Light Screen, Meganium should be extremely happy with her defensive weaknesses covered. This way, you can use Lyra & Meganium to safely buff up allies to their heart's content without worrying about being taken out prematurely.
