June 27th, 2019 marks the return of Groudon as the legendary raid boss!
Groudon is the legendary counterpart to Kyogre and is the strongest Ground-type Pokemon in the game currently. (Garchomp is a close 2nd!)

Groudon leaves raid battles on July 12th. Coincidentally, another Pokemon event will be taking place on this date: the release of the remake of the first Pokemon movie, Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution, in Japan.
The movie features a Mewtwo in a suit of armor, being experimented on by Team Rocket.
Previously, several lines of code were found in reference to Mewtwo by dataminer @Chrales. In the recent update, there had been a slight change made to Mewtwo's Pokedex page as well, as shown by the Reddit thread below by user u/kyloles.
There has been no official confirmation of anything that might happen after Groudon, but stay tuned for more details.
