What's the point in evolving the first shitty beldum you get as soon as you catch it? Haven't you learned anything from the past year?
I have enough candies to evolve two metagross and almost enough for a salamence too, but I won't be evolving just any of the ones I have because that would be stupid and rash. I had enough candies to evolve a beldum three days ago, so, in a sense, you came several days late too, but whatever, all that matters in this game is being first and the bragging rights that come with it. right?
RIGHT?!
Agreed.
This one is level 34 91%, but it's IV spread is 15 Attack and Hitpoints, more beneficial to a high base-defense Pokemon like Metagross.
I TMed it to Steel moves in case anything becomes legacy. The plan is to hang on to this one without powering, and, if I find a better one, evolve it to Steel moves and max it. In that case, I'll TM this one to double Psychic moves for a bulky Psychic attacker with resistances, as well as a decent gym defender.
On my way home I found a PokeStop that was absolutely FILLED with Trapinch. I visited it and found a Ralts and two Beldum there too, and one of them was the one I evolved! Since then I was visiting it multiple times a day. Not always a Beldum there but I got about half of them from that spot (that and walking my Beldum a lot). It also set me up with nearly 300 Trapinch candy.
Obviously a spot like that doesn't pump out the sheer numbers of non-nesting spawns after the Gen 3 event ended.
Damn, that's crazy haha! Trapinch seldom spawns in my area (even with Sunny weather), but I haven't seen any since the start of Gen 3 only spawns, especially since it's been mostly Cloudy weather here lately. I do have a Vibrava now, but only have about 60 Trapinch candies now from the few wild Trapinch I luckily found and Pinapped and a couple of rare candies I gave it. It's now my buddy so I can accumulate enough candies for Flygon.
Oddly enough, this Beldum I caught spawned in sunny weather, so I guess I got really lucky lol. =]
