EX raid Boss frequency
I’m gonna let my noob flag fly. I got my first EX raid invite and I’m wondering if some Bosses are more likely to be in an EX raid over others. I’ve done a lot of google searching and found nothing other than EX raids have more desirable Pokémon.
Are EX raids typically tier 5? Or are they any tier with a higher chance of higher IV?

EX raids have a specific pokemon which cannot (normally) be caught any other way in the game. The current EX raid boss is Deoxys. Before Deoxys, it was Mewtwo (who was the first EX raid boss).
EX raids are sort of like a T6 raid, in that the boss has a bit more HP than it would be projected to have as a T5 boss. That's not a great analogy though, because Niantic has shown that they can skew T5 raid boss stats and did so when Mewtwo was released as a T5 raid boss.
IV ranges are the same as for all raids, which (I think) is *EDIT*: 66%+. Someone corrected me.
Deoxys itself is not overly difficult. It has a high attack stat but has laughable HP and Defense stats, so it shouldn't cause you too much trouble with a competent raid group of 5+ people. In a perfect world you could duo it with 1 other person, but with that noob flag flying I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this would be too ambitious for you.
If Naintic keeps up the trend, Deoxys will eventually come to T5 raids but will lack some relevant move that it currently has as an EX raid boss (which will be interesting because Deoxys' current moveset is garbage).
In any case, gratz on the pass and good luck on your raid.
A couple half-truths here. For one EX raids have the same health as a standard T5. Mewtwo coming to the general raid scene has so far been the first and only case of a "T6" raid with buffed HP.
While Deoxys does have laughable HP on its own, this has no bearing on its ease or difficulty as a raid boss since all raid tiers have a fixed HP amount, T5 being 12500HP. Its defense is extremely lackluster though which is what makes a 2-man very much within the realm of possibility.
