Happy Lunar New-Year! We're going into the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese Zodiac, and the event has dragons to match. We've got some good Dragons spawning, and the introduction of a Pokemon that is... definitely a dragon... so let's get into it!

- A Global Challenge will be available that will unlock unique moves via evolution for specific Pokemon, additional wild Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild, and additional One and Three Star Raid Bosses.
- These bonuses will unlock when players have made 1,000,000,000 (one billion) Great throws or better.
- The subjects of these bonuses have not yet been revealed.
- These bonuses will unlock when players have made 1,000,000,000 (one billion) Great throws or better.
- A Paid Timed Research line will be available, rewarding players with Stardust, Lucky Eggs, and event-themed Pokemon encounters.

Timed Research rewards include the following.

Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

A Global Challenge will take place throughout the event! Work with Trainers around the world to throw 1,000,000,000 Nice Throws to unlock the bonuses below for all Trainers to enjoy for the remainder of the event!
