Phantom spawn alerts?

Yes I noticed this yesterday!

Yes; I've also had Pokémon spawn for just long enough to see them appear on my screen, then suddenly they vanish, I don't see ANY Pokémon (on the screen or on the Nearby Pokémon list) for 2-5 minutes. Then I get vibration notifications but nothing shows back up on my screen for another couple minutes.

I can still spin Pokestops and battle gyms at these times (though sometimes it does occur at the same time as a GPS error...), but the Pokémon just vanish.

I have the same problem. Relatively often in the past few weeks. It‘s quite annoying to feel the vibration but not getting the chance to catch something. Could that be a bug from the game? Or does it come from the device one plays on? I‘m playing on an iPhone 8 if that has any relevance.

My phone vibrates but no pokemon appear and I'm not in range of the spawns. It's weird and has been going on for about a week or more.

Yes. It's an old bug that came back. I think that it's been already a while

Yes! happening to me too and i'm on Android.

I figured it was from Pokémon "phantom spawning" just outside my range.

I thought I was the only one, it occurs whenever the spawns are not loaded ,when it vibrates it means it has already loaded.

I like the idea that the phantom vibrations are actually Kecleon that are camouflaged.

Yeah, it's been like that for me since the last update (don't think I noticed it before that).

Another bug to add to the list of stuff Niantic need to fix.

I still get that damn dodge bug during raid battles and I hate it when all Pokemon disappear from the screen and I have to wait until the game lets them spawn again (the same issue that FandangoGhandi wrote about).
