Trainer standing in spinning tornado

yeah it happens sometimes when you remote feed a gym that's being taken down, it's the 'gym under attack' animation. it's a bug, for sure, but an aesthetically pleasing/interesting one.

While remote feeding a gym that is under attack, the battle animation from the gym gets anchored to the player model.

I have seen this animation before but never knew why or asked about it, so I also benefited from the answers; thanks!

This happens to me at least once a day and has been happening since remote feeding was introduced. Blessed be your untaintedness for finding out about this just now

One other thing that happens is the tornado remains visible on the horizon in the game over long distances if you move away from where you originally encountered it. I once drove 5 miles away from where it happened, and I could still see the tornado in the distance.

Lol, the first time I encountered this, I was out for a walk with the dog. I thought it must be significant in some way, so I stood in the center and tried evolving a pokemon, and powering up a pokemon, and feeding berries, and whatever else I could come up with to see if some cool new quest, or teleport would happen. Nada.

I reloaded the game and the magic tornado that does nothing disappeared.
