When Pokemon Go was first released and we discovered the existence of Regional Pokemon, those of us with knowledge of the main series had our minds instantly go in one direction. We knew that, if this game was to grow as projected, we'd have to face one very real evil on the horizon. And now that day has finally come; Pokemon #666 is finally here.

Back in generation 6/Kalos, Pokemon Go introduced an interesting little Pokemon named Vivillon! To many, this was nothing more than the new region's Butterfree analog, but it had a fun little secret; depending on where the player's game was located, they'd get a unique wing pattern for their Bug/Flying Type Pokemon. And now it's our turn to enjoy the original regional Pokemon, and Niantic... actually did a pretty good job with it!

Vivillon

Players will be able to obtain Scatterbug, and as a result Vivillon, by opening postcards sent by other players. When opening them, there's a chance to encounter a Scatterbug, which the player can then catch. Once caught, the Scatterbug can then be evolved into Spewpa, and then Vivillon. The Vivillon obtained will be based on the location where the initial postcard came from.

Players who want to collect all of Vivillon's various formes can use our Trainer Code page to try to find friends from the regions outlined above. This may very well be worth it for some, as we also have a new medal line for collecting Vivillon's various formes.
