Overview
Super Baby 2 is an interesting Card when it comes to building a Team. He’s dominant when challenging events with Pure Saiyans or Hybrid Saiyans Enemies and can still hold his own against Enemies that do not activate his Passive Skill’s extra conditions.
His Passive Skill often produces good results, but his Link Skills make it difficult to maximize his Damage. Baby’s ability to turn into a Giant Ape gets special mention here, because this form has an extra bonus, receiving extra Ki per Ki sphere collected, making it very easy to wreak massive amounts of Damage on his foes.
Strengths
Super Baby 2’s Passive Skill gives him an unconditional Ki +3 and a 100% Buff to ATK and DEF, but he has the capability to reach greater heights when facing certain Enemies. Against Pure Saiyans, Baby gets an additional Ki +3 and a 50% Boost to ATK, and when facing Hybrid Saiyans, he gets another Ki +3 and 50% to ATK. This is very powerful since there are so many Pure Saiyans or Hybrid Saiyans.
The last part of his Passive Skill gives him a 50% to turn into a Giant Ape when HP is 40% or less, one time only. In his Giant Ape form, he gets an additional Ki +1 per Ki sphere obtained, essentially doubling your Ki. This is a great opportunity to deal large amounts of free Damage without fear of retaliation.
Baby is a leader for Artificial Life Forms, giving Ki +4 and 130% HP, ATK, and DEF. The Cards of this category excel at inflicting Debuffs on Super ATK, so the +4 to Ki is especially helpful to his allies. The category also has several Cards with the Link Skill Metamorphosis, including Super Baby 2 himself, frequently giving the Team the chance to recover 5% HP.
This helps to offset the relatively lower HP and DEF Doost compared to what other Category Leader Skills have to offer.
Weaknesses
Super Baby 2 has an okay set of Link Skills, but there’s definitely room for improvement. He has only two useful ATK Link Skills, “Big Bad Bosses” and “Thirst for Conquest”, but activating both can be difficult on his own Team.
He has an abundance of Link Skills to Boost Ki, but given that his Passive Skill has the potential to produce Ki +9 and +4 Ki from his Leader Skill (+8 with a Friend Super Baby 2), it would serve the Card much better if he could replace one or two with another ATK Link Skill.
“Hatred of the Saiyans” stands out as his weakest Link Skill overall with only a handful of underwhelming Cards under the Link Skill.
Baby’s biggest weakness is his lack of Categories. Three is a very small number for a summonable LR, and he can be difficult to run on some of his Teams. He is very self-sufficient, especially when facing Pure Saiyans or Hybrid Saiyans, but maximizing his potential can be difficult on his Teams.
Synergy
Super Baby 2 is easy to use, but difficult to maximize. To maximize his Damage potential, you’ll want to activate both “Big Bad Bosses” and “Thirst for Conquest”. The easiest place to do this is on Transformation Boost, with Frieza (First Form), Coora (Final Form), and Full Power Boujack--all have several Cards that will activate both Link Skills. The next one would be Artificial Life Forms, with the most difficult being Giant Form.
Admittedly, that’s mostly due to the small size of the Category. This is not a huge weakness by any means, but something to consider when choosing where to use this Card.
