Overview
Android #17's MVP showing in the Tournament of Power has become legend thanks to his incredible representation in Dokkan. #17's power as a Supporter, an Attacker, and a Leader are all exceptional, and he even holds up well Defensively thanks to his conditional Damage Reduction.
The huge swath of Categories he's viable on significantly contributes to his value - he's an excellent partner for any Android and any Tournament of Power participant.
Strengths
This curt Android's Passive grants him a fantastic +120% ATK boost when performing a Super Attack, which is all the more impressive when the fact that his Super Attack lowers ATK is factored in. Being able to do high Damage and Debuff the opponent makes him an excellent floater for difficult content, which is great utility for a Leader.
Android #17's Support is what truly makes him so exceptional. He and his entire rotation receive a +60% Buff to DEF and 3 Ki, which all but guarantees that standard Cards will be able to Super Attack.
This extra Ki and his immaculate Link Set, which stars Shocking Speed, Fierce Battle, and Tournament of Power, is especially excellent when it comes to Supporting the numerous powerful LRs that populate his best Categories.
When the going gets tough, Android #17 is prepared to show out. His 40% Damage Reduction effect is a great boon for any Team in a difficult event, and its activation requirement only necessitates the Team's HP being reduced below 77%.
In Super Battle Road and other challenging stages, this Damage Reduction can salvage runs by itself.
Weaknesses
If Android #17 is hit when the Team's HP is above 77%, he often takes significant Damage. He has some fail-safes that are capable of reducing the amount of punishment he takes, mainly his ATK Debuff, but it's not enough to make him a Defensive juggernaut.
In most difficult stages, it's best to be mindful of Android #17's poor Defense in this specific instance.
Synergy
When Android #17 isn't leading the Android Category flawlessly, he can act as an excellent Support Card off-rotation for his other categories. On the Sibling's Bond and Representatives of Universe 7 Categories, his Ki-granting Passive can make or break powerful LRs.
His additional Defense is icing on the cake. Against events that have enemies susceptible to having their ATK lowered, Android #17 is a near must-run.
