Overview
Cooler’s armored squadron has arrived to hunt down the weak. Thouser is a powerful Card on a Terrifying Conquerors Team, with some amazing ally based Buffs, and has the opportunity to have additional ATKs alongside a Cooler ally. Also, this Card acts as a decent leader for Terrifying Conquerors.
Where this Card begins to show its weakness is in its awful Link Skills which only limit this Card’s flexibility outside of a Terrifying Conquerors Team. Without Terrifying Conquerors allies this Card is losing out on some significant Buffs that will hinder its performance. If players have a solid Terrifying Conquerors Team this Card is a solid pick to bring along, but be aware of its limitations.
Strengths
Thouser and the Armored Squad are fantastic on Terrifying Conquerors due to their Passive Skill providing a 30% ATK & DEF Buff per Terrifying Conquerors ally. So, on a Terrifying Conquerors Team this Card is gaining a 210% ATK & DEF Buff, on top of some fairly high ATK Stats, and their ATK Link “Fierce Battle.”
On the proper Team, this Card is dealing some incredible Damage and can definitely tank some hits.
If players manage to run this Card alongside a Cooler Card, then Thouser can launch 2 more ATKs that each have a 15% chance to become a Super ATK. While a 15% chance is a little low, players should take full advantage of this because of this Card’s Super ATK Debuffs Enemy ATK & DEF by 20% for 3 Turns. With some luck, Thouser can prove to be a great utility Card that sets up other heavy hitters to finish a fight or help in Damage mitigation.
Thankfully Thouser acts as a great secondary leader for Terrifying Conquerors if players lack a more powerful option.
Weaknesses
Thouser’s Link Skills are quite underwhelming and hold back this Card’s performance outside of a Terrifying Conquerors Team. While “Shocking Speed” is a useful Ki Link, the rest of Thouser’s Ki Links, “Cooler’s Underling” and “Loyalty,” are awfully limited and relatively useless.
Looking at Thouser’s ATK and DEF Links he, fortunately, has “Fierce Battle” which has a lot of flexibility. “Cold Judgement” and “Brainiacs” offer some useful Buffs, but unfortunately, players might have a tough time getting these Link Skills often considering the small pool of Card that share the skill on Thouser’s Category Teams.
The most insulting ATK Link is “Cooler’s Armored Squad” which offers an incredible 25% ATK Buff, but considering there are only 5 other Cards with that skill, 3 of which are below SSR rank, this is such a rigid ATK Link.
While Thouser’s Passive Skill Buff from Terrifying Conquerors allies is quite powerful, outside of a Team without said allies makes Thouser’s performance drop significantly. With Thouser’s Link Skills he is not getting a lot of consistent Buffs outside of his main Team. Thouser is not terrible, but he is built to excel in one Team, at the moment, and players should take note of his lack of flexibility.
Synergy
Thouser is built to be run solely on a Terrifying Conquerors Team. There is no avoiding the fact that this Card is built around one Team, so players should not be expecting this Card to perform the same outside of its main Team. Players will probably already be aware of this, but Ultimate Power - Cooler is probably the best Card to have alongside Thouser, especially as a Leader.
