Overview
Super Saiyan God SS Goku has been given a much-needed EZA that has made this Card amazing! Goku’s Passive Skill grants a 118% ATK & DEF Buff early on in a fight, with the potential for a one-turn 177% ATK Buff if a fight lasts longer than anticipated, and on top of that he stacks ATK. With powerful ATK Links and great Ki Links, this Card is incredibly low-maintenance and provides incredible results.
While no Card is perfect, the flaws this Card has in terms of DEF after his Passive Skill Buff turn limit, or his loss of HP with each Super ATK, are easily outweighed by the Cards incredible ATK potential.
Strengths
While losing 5% HP with each Super ATK may seem a little annoying, it is a minor issue now thanks to Goku’s new ATK stack mechanic. When paired with an initial 59% ATK & DEF Buff, and his ATK Links “Warrior Gods,” “Fierce Battle,” and “Super Saiyan” you have a wrecking ball that is always gaining momentum.
Goku’s new Passive Skill grants him an additional 59% ATK & DEF Buff, on top of his initial Buff, for 10 turns. If players find themselves close to the 10 turn limit, thankfully this Card has a failsafe where for one turn this Card gains another 59% ATK Buff, with a guaranteed critical hit.
So early on in the fight, this Card has a 118% ATK & DEF Buff, with a 177% ATK Buff on the 9th turn. By the 9th turn, players should have already stacked a significant amount of ATK, and we are not taking into consideration support Cards, all of Goku’s ATK Links, and Leader Skill Buffs, which just make the Damage output on this Card ridiculously high.
Goku manages to have a great balance of Ki and ATK Links that don’t hold this Card back. Goku’s ATK Links give a potential 35% ATK Buff if players get “Warrior Gods” activated often, but none of his ATK Links are difficult to activate across his Teams.
Likewise, Goku’s Ki Links are fantastic as they cover a broad range of Ki Links across various Teams, meaning players should not have a tough time finding a Card with at least one shared Ki Link.
Weaknesses
While Goku’s Passive Skill is amazing, players should be aware that if they do not finish the fight by the 10th turn they lose out on significant Buffs. After the 10th Turn, this Card only retains a 59% ATK & DEF Buff, which by that point players ATK should not take a big loss but the same can’t be said for Goku’s DEF.
Goku’s DEF is not terrible without his additional DEF Buff, but keep in mind that the 5% HP loss can add up if players manage to launch additional ATKS. So in some scenarios, this can lead to player HP being consistently low against tougher opponents, and Goku taking extra Damage that can bring down HP even further. However, this can be resolved with proper support Cards.
Players should keep in mind that the lack of DEF building on this Card can pose a problem in longer events as Goku has limited DEF options past the 10th Turn. Similar to his previous Weakness, this issue can be managed with proper support Cards, and for the most part, is a small blemish on an otherwise fantastic Card.
Synergy
This Card will have no trouble performing well across all of his Teams thanks to his generous Ki Links, ATK Links, and overall stats post EZA.
Regardless of the Team, players should link this Card with Final Super Power - Super Saiyan God SS Goku (Kaioken) making for an incredibly powerful duo that shares most Link Skills. Overall, this Goku Card is an amazing addition to any Team.
