Overview
Mai’s Dokkan Awakening changes her from underwhelming to a fantastic Category ATK and DEF Boosting support Card with an even greater chance to Stun. She’s a fantastic pick for the Time Travelers Team but unfortunately, she sees limited utility elsewhere.
Strengths
Mai has two separate chances to stun built into her toolkit. She has a 50% chance to stun for 2 turns through her Super Attack and a 40% chance for any Attack from her Passive Skill. When she Super Attacks, it will activate the effects, making a stun even more likely.
Her Passive Skill gives a massive 40% ATK and DEF Boost to all Time Travelers, making Mai an ideal support Card for the Team.
Weaknesses
Mai’s Passive Skill doesn’t give her any ATK or DEF Boost aside from the 40% she gives the Team. She will be a weak Damage dealer and should avoid Enemy Attacks.
Mai has only one Team where she’ll reach her full potential. Time Travelers is her best fit because all of the Cards in the category benefit from the ATK and DEF boost. Future Saga is the second best choice, having a lot of overlap with Time Travelers. Peppy Gals Cards won’t benefit from her support Passive Skill at all, so her only benefit to the Team will be the high chance to stun.
Synergy
Mai’s best place will be the Time Travelers Team where you can take full advantage of her Passive Skill. Future Saga is another good spot for her, as most of those units have Time Travelers as well, and will benefit from her support. Another option is Peppy Gals, but she is overshadowed by her AGL counterpart for the role. She’s not meant for a spot on the main rotation, but she will shine as a floating support Card for the Team.
