Overview
Base form Bardock’s time has finally come, and he’s got some tricks up his sleeve that make him a great asset on all of his Category Teams, especially on his own. Defensively, he’s excellent, sporting the capacity to stack it infinitely prior to his awakening. His Damage output is deceptively high, and once he Transforms, he can lay the smackdown on Wicked Bloodline and Extreme Class enemies.
Though Bardock has timed Buffs that evaporate after a while, his Defensive Stacking and consistently high Damage makes him an asset in long events, and his overall kit is contextually powerful in short ones. If Bardock is surrounded by Teammates that compliment his strengths, he easily shreds through any foe.
Strengths
In his base form, Bardock needs only a Super Attack or two to become a total Defensive wall. Considering each of his Super Attacks grants him +30% Defense for 99 turns, and he begins the turn with a +120% Defensive Buff, Bardock can easily hold his own in long and short events alike Defensively.
While he doesn’t stack Defense after Transforming, his Transformation is an Active Skill, which gives players using Bardock a semblance of control when deciding when to flip the switch.
Before Transforming, Bardock gets +10% ATK at the start of turn alongside his base 120% ATK Buff. Though he drops the former Buff after Transformation, his base Buffs extends to 180% in its place, and he becomes Effective Against all Types when facing Extreme Class enemies.
Beyond that, he gets guaranteed Critical Hits and an extra Guaranteed Super Attack against Wicked Bloodline Foes, giving Bardock situations where his power rivals many of the game’s LR roster.
For 5 Turns after going Super Saiyan, Bardock gets an 18% Chance to Crit, an 18% chance to Evade Attacks, and +18% Damage Reduction for 5 Turns. These fantastic self-Buffs give him absurd power immediately, and allows him access to abilities typically locked behind the hidden potential system at 55% in the dupe system.
Weaknesses
Bardock is comparatively much weaker Offensively prior to Transforming, so in events that value speed, Bardock might be lacking. Additionally, he requires Low Class Warriors to augment his Damage output, and the roster of that Category is very limited.
Synergy
Bardock is a great addition to all of his Category Teams. He’s a very reliable Defender and is a rock star against Extreme Class enemies. Because he excels in long events against Extreme Class enemies, he’s exceptional alongside other Defenders that he shares Links with, most notably, The First Awakened.
