Overview
Tornadus is the first of the Forces of Nature to come to Pokemon Go, and it's a bit more challenging than it may seem. Many Pokemon can break the 25 DPS needed to duo, but staying alive through the battle can be a bit of a hassle. Overall, the duo is likely to be a very tight battle without much wiggle room.
Keep in mind that this guide is not a comprehensive list of Pokemon capable of a duo. Many other species are capable, though these tend to be the stand-outs.
Approach
Team composition
-
The top Electric Type Shadows stand head-and-shoulders above the rest
-
Bringing a Mega Evolution along can help with beating the clock
-
Rampardos and Zekrom are the overall best non-shadow choices
-
Tornadus' moveset can change the performance of many counters drastically
Battling strategy
-
You will need to re-enter, have a second team ready to go or be prepared to have one player after 3 faints, heal up, and re-enter in order to keep Tornadus from healing due to a full wipe
-
Aim for positive weather in order to increase your odds
-
Try to fit your counters to Tornadus' moveset, and keep weather in mind
-
Dodging is recommended in order to keep from having to relobby
Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
