Overview
SSJ Gohan, one of the oldest and most reliable F2P Cards in Dokkan, gets a very unique Awakening to SSJ2. He’s now a specialized fighter, getting multiple bonuses for fighting the right battles. This makes him situationally very strong but a niche pick overall.
Still, as a F2P, he is worth investing in since he has many categories and can be the fill for Teams in bonus drop events. He even does a good job when only one or two parts of his Passive Skill are active.
Strengths
Gohan is a specialized fighter that gets stronger with the more conditionals activated. By default, he gets +2 Ki and +40% ATK & DEF, but can go up to +8 Ki and +130% ATK & DEF, which is amazing for a F2P Card.
On top of having great Links, Gohan also has six categories, making him very easy to include on many Teams.
Weaknesses
Gohan has a lot of conditionals. He requires a Time Travelers Enemy, Movie Bosses Enemy, and two or more Enemies on the stage to be truly optimized. Only Boujack and his crew can reliably fit these conditions, and it’s very rare to find them as stage bosses.
However, since Movie Bosses and Time Travelers are fairly big categories, it’s not a problem activating one or two conditionals for a slightly worse but still respectable performance.
While being F2P is great for accessibility, it also means this Gohan has lower stats and a lower Super ATK multiplier than his other same-named versions. He also has some of the greatest Cards in the game as his competition, including powerful LRs.
Synergy
Gohan works well on any of his category Teams, especially alongside other Saiyans and Super Cards, making him easy to include whenever you know you’re facing an Enemy he has an advantage against.
Due to his lower stats and rigid Passive conditions, Gohan is limited to be used against specific Enemies that activate at least one part of his Passive to not be a liability. This hurts his versatility.
