Trunks continues the trend of specialized Dokkan Cards that under their optimal conditions are some fierce fighters. With a Gohan (Future) ally Trunks gains a significant ATK & DEF Buff, on top of his unrestricted ATK & DEF Buff, and only gets stronger against Androids Enemies and Cell.
However, if Trunks is not able to activate his Passive Skill conditions he loses out on numerous Buffs that turn him from a great Card to decent.
Likewise, this Trunks shares the name of other Cards that can force players to prioritize this Card for certain events. Make no mistake, Trunks is by no means a bad Card, even without his bonuses, but he can feel situational at times.
While Trunks serves as a secondary leader for Bond of Master and Disciple Teams, what is noteworthy is his +3 Ki and 70% ATK & DEF Buff, on top of a 100% ATK & DEF Buff, when he has an ally with “Gohan (Future)” in their name. Under the right Team, Trunks can hit pretty hard and is self-sufficient.
Whenever Trunks faces an Androids Enemy he is guaranteed an additional +6 Ki and can perform a critical hit. Against a Cell Enemy, Trunks gains a 70% ATK Buff. This makes Trunks an excellent pick for events with numerous Androids Enemies, considering his entire Passive Skill is built around such conditions.
The numerous restrictions this Card has really hindered its ability to be a flexible fighter due to varying conditions needing to be met in order to reach max potential.
By no means is Trunks a terrible Card, but without a Gohan (Future) ally Trunks loses out on some significant ATK & DEF Buffs. The annoyances with this card just stem from the recent trend of Cards being made specialized for certain situations, rather than having more broad appeal.
Unfortunately, this Trunks shares the name with all Super Saiyan Trunks (Future) Cards, which in some circumstances may force players to decide whether to bring this Card, or A Will Beyond Time - Super Saiyan Trunks (Future). This slight issue can make this Card feel situational for some players.
Trunks under the right conditions is a powerful ally, that can still hit fairly hard even without all his Passive Skill Buffs. Thanks to his Link Skils, Trunks will perform well in the majority of his categories, but players will see the most out of this Card in a category like Future Saga or Bond of Master and Disciple because of Gohan (Future) allies.
Regardless of the Team players have to be aware that this Card is specialized for certain situations, so be aware of the Enemies an event has before choosing to bring this Trunks

|Slightly raises ATK when AGL attacks STR, STR attacks PHY, PHY attacks INT, INT attacks TEQ, or TEQ attacks AGL. It works for both Super and Extreme Types. The effect increases along with the skill level.
