Overview
Trunks is a great Super support. He’s very flexible since his important Buff has no conditions and Trunks himself is part of several categories. However, it’s best to pair him with another Trunks or a Vegeta to further Boost his stats and Damage output in harder Stages.
Strengths
Trunks’ Passive Skill offers unconditional support to his allies. He also has good Links and a decent Rainbow Leader Skill that makes him a lot more flexible. On top of that, his Super ATK further increases allies ATK for 1 turn.
If you’re bringing another Vegeta’s Family ally, Trunks can double up as a durable Damage Dealer.
Trunks is very versatile. and while his EZA Passive Skill Buffs his own stats higher with Vegeta’s Family specific allies, it’s not hard to find options among his six categories.
Weaknesses
He needs another Vegeta’s Family ally to activate the second part of his EZA Passive Skill. Without it, Trunks is still a decent support, but his individual performance will be lacking.
There are a lot of strong Cards under the name Super Saiyan Trunks (Future) and you can only pick one to be in your Team, which also means this Trunks can’t link with other same-named Cards.
Synergy
Trunks works very well when paired with other versions of Trunks--Including Kid Trunks--and Vegetas on Vegeta’s Famiy, Future Saga, Time Travelers, Master-Student Bond, and Super Saiyans Teams. For Hybrid Saiyans, you’ll need to Link with his other versions, but there are also many good options there.
As for Game Modes, Trunks is strong in shorter content where you can fully utilize his no condition Passive Skill, but he also does well on harder modes.
