Tier A+

Note: Melusine's placement may move up not long after her release due to the upcoming release of Koyanskaya and Oberon.

Melusine is a unique Lancer Class Servant that can serve as both an ST Arts Servant, as well as an AoE Buster Servant. She is also a rather unique case where her selected Ascension sprite has gameplay consequences, where 1st and 2nd Ascension are ST Arts, and 3rd Ascension is AoE Buster. Furthermore, her third skill also has varying effects depending on ascension, allowing her to reach 3rd Ascension and charging her NP by up to 100% (!) if used in 1st or 2nd Ascension, or giving her a moderate NP damage buff in 3rd Ascension. In addition, she has yet another 30% NP charge skill, which she can use to help top off her gauge in either form. Her ST Arts NP applies a Damage Taken Plus debuff, provides a burst of Stars, and increases her own NP Gain for 3 turns, and with its decently healthy hit count, refunds a good amount of gauge. Her AoE Buster NP on the other hand applies Ignore Invincibility and a Buster buff before damage, and inflicts Burn on all targets. This gives her practical usage in both farming and challenge scenarios, since she can ignore certain Evade/Invincibility gimmicks some bosses have. The remainder of her kit has a relatively balanced mix of offensive and defensive buffs for herself. She has ATK, Star Gather, Stars per turn, and a burst of Stars to support her offensive gameplay. Defensively, the Ascension-dependent skill always grants her 1 turn of invincibility, and she also has Damage Cut and a Max HP buff on her first skill. Due to her relatively low skill cooldowns, as well as access to all three types of offensive buffs (ATK, Card, and NP damage), she is an excellent and flexible Lancer damage dealer for nearly any occasion. With the right support and proper setup, she becomes one of the strongest AoE options for farming available in the roster.

Tier B+

Percival is an AoE Arts Lancer who comes with a skill set that has impressive defensive capabilities. He is capable of protecting allies by both providing buffs as well as redirecting damage from enemies. He has a targetable Invincible skill that also restores a minor amount of health, in addition to a 3-turn Target Focus skill for himself that increases NP Gain when he sustains damage. As an AoE Arts damage dealer, he is also capable of looping his NP relatively well, and also comes with a small 20% charge of his own, in addition to an Arts and NP damage buff. Finally, his NP itself Ignores Invincibility, adds a further NP damage buff, and can restore health to the lowest-HP percentage ally. Percival is a decently effective combination of defensive support and offense, with his greatest weakness arguably being that his damage is on the lower side. However, with the support of premiere Arts support, he can usually reach numbers sufficient for clearing smaller waves, and doubles as a high utility defensive support option on teams as well.

Tier B > B

Astolfo (Saber)'s latest upgrade gives her a helpful instant NP Gauge charge of up to 20% on top of the 20% charge she gains each turn. Additionally, she now gains a decent sum of up to 20 Crit Stars, which allows her to better take advantage of her kit's Crit Damage and Star Gather buffs. It was generally agreed that this upgrade is highly useful for her, although not substantial enough overall to push her up a tier.

Tier C > C

Caenis gets an NP Charge of 20% of her own, helping her top off her NP Gauge with a non-MLB Kaleidoscope setup or with the assistance of NP charge supports. She also gains a small sum of turns every turn for 3 turns total, helping to support her critical damage output, which is further bolstered on turns following her NP. This upgrade generally improves her overall ease of use and self sufficiency, and although 20% doesn't quite reach the threshold for easy Buster looping, it is still a helpful upgrade nonetheless.

Tier A > A

Salieri's third skill gets an upgrade, adding two Crit-related effects that last a turn, including both a sizable Crit Damage and Star Gather rate buff. In combination with his first skill, which is an additional Crit Damage and Stars-Per-Turn buff, this skill now grants Salieri a single turn of extreme Crit, which can come in handy when his Cards are available. The upgrade, although nice, was agreed to not substantially change Salieri's gameplay, so his tier remains the same at a solid A.

Tier C+ > C+

Gareth gains increased Guts HP recovery, as well as a burst of Stars and 3 turns of enhanced Critical Damage with her latest upgrade. All of these help enhance her damage dealing capabilities provided the stars are absorbed on her Cards. However, since her innate star generation isn't extremely spectacular, and she has no star gather skill, in many cases this upgrade will see inconsistent benefits for her. As a result, her tier was agreed to remain the same.
