Overview

“I only wish one thing from my wife. Devote everything to me.”

Many Masters hope to summon their waifus in the game, but Morgan decided to flip the script and make the Master her waifu (because obviously Masters should play as Gudako)! Devoting everything to her wife, Morgan serves as a combination AoE Buster Damage Dealer and Support to serve as a jack of all trades. With her skills, Morgan can effectively be deployed in most any node.

Morgan’s wife skills begin with her ability to dish out damage. The combination of her Berserker classing, Charisma of Yearning, and her Madness Enhancement B is strong enough alone, but with the overcharge skill of her Noble Phantasm, Roadless Camelot she finds herself often the best in class against Human attribute enemies, a rather common typing. In addition, her Charisma of Yearning combined with Protection of the Lake C gives her significant charging capacity to enable Buster looping. A sneaky bonus of Morgan’s companionship comes from Protection of the Lake’s targetability, helping her both cast an NP herself and support a ST ally for 90++ nodes.

Now, Morgan does have her shortcomings, but she’s working really hard to overcome them and become a better wife for Master, trust her! For one, there is no getting around her squishy nature as a Berserker. While From the World's End does give her a small Guts, she has no other methods of damage mitigation. Her card set is also fairly poor, losing out on the triple Buster deck bonuses that other Berserkers enjoy. In addition, she may have inconsistent damage as compared to other competitors as her trait is not always applicable.

Morgan is quite useful for nearly all enemy compositions, capable of dishing out high levels of damage. She’s also a fairly loyal wife who… wait. She demands we serve her?! Well, on your knees, Masters, your Queen has come.

Strengths

Damage

While Morgan does not have the class advantage bonuses of the other 6 main classes, she does have several attributes allowing her to deal out significant damage. While the combination of Charisma of Yearning’s attack buffs and Defense down buffs, along with Madness Enhancement B, are nice, her real strength lies in her Supereffective damage. Against human enemies and all Knights of the Round Table, fae or not, she will deal major bonus damage. Not to mention, her small curse bonus on her Noble Phantasm can then tick to kill Servants who barely survive or have a small guts.

AoE Buster Looping

With Protection of the Lake and Charisma of Yearning both having a 6-turn or less cooldown, Morgan is capable of Buster Looping with a double Koyanskaya setup. It is highly suggested to run with an Oberon for higher damage potential. In a double Koyanskaya and Oberon setup, Morgan will also be able to benefit twice from Thristing Charisma’s attack up and defense down to the enemy, including on the targeted third wave.

Support

Rare for a Berserker, Morgan has significant support potential in a team. Protection of the Lake is a targetable skill, and her Charisma of Yearning buffs the attack of all allies. She also provides a small overcharge boost effect on her Noble Phantasm. In 90++ nodes, where a single target DPS is often required in addition to an AoE, this can be a tremendous boon.

Weaknesses

Squishy

Morgan is, in the end, a Berserker. While she has a small Guts, it doesn’t change the fact that she takes double damage from almost every class.

Poor Synergy

Morgan’s deck has two Arts cards. Because of this, she is incapable of serving in solo situations with BBB combos. In addition, she will oftentimes serve with Buster support Servants who boost critical rates as well, although she only has two Buster cards to deal the boosted damage with. As her Arts NP gain is standard, her Card kit harms her greatly.

Inconsistent Damage

While her damage is decent in all cases, Morgan’s damage can have a wide damage range depending on whether the enemies hit her trait bonuses or not.

Morgan has fairly large versatility with her kit thanks to Protection of the Lake’s targetability. Some masters will use all her skills on Morgan herself and use her to Buster loop through farming nodes. Others will use her second skill on another support to get Single Target damage against larger enemies while using Morgan to clear a wave. Her third skill sees the least usage, but is mostly used on the final wave to give Morgan a critical hit or two against a larger boss.

  • Charisma of Yearning B is a supercharged Charisma that doesn’t just boost the parties’ Attack, but also gives Morgan herself a 30% charge while debuffing the enemy defense. To make matters better, this is on a 6-turn cooldown, allowing Morgan to cast it on both turns 1 and 3 with a double Koyanskaya setup. Masters are going to want to level this skill to max to take advantage of both the full charge and the cooldown reduction. It makes little difference whether this is raised first or second.
  • Protection of the Lake C is a charge skill with a bonus to NP generation rate. This skill’s usage depends on the situation. It can be used to buff Morgan’s gauge, in which case the NP gen is practically useless, or it can be used to buff another Servant’s gauge and help their NP regeneration rate. At a 5-turn cooldown, it is an incredibly powerful skill which can also be used twice.  This again should be raised to max for the full charge and cooldown reduction, but makes little difference whether it is raised first or second.
  • From the World's End A is a rather odd skill. On one hand, it is meant for long term survival, debuffing enemy crit chance and attack each turn while giving Morgan a small Guts. On the other, it is meant for damage by providing Morgan with a significant amount of stars, boosting her gather rate to collect them, and increasing her Crit Damage. Most enemies should be dead from her Noble Phantasms alone, but this could be worthwhile if the final boss of a node has extra high HP and needs a critical hit or two from Morgan to finish it off. Level this last and to at least level 6 to generate enough stars for Morgan to work with.

Craft Essence Recommendation

Morgan’s Craft Essences depend on a Master’s support composition. If a Master can run a composition with Double Koyanskaya and Oberon, or just wants to use Morgan alone without either of them, she fits best with Mixed Starting NP Gauge / NP Damage Up CEs. If a Master wants to run a Double Koyanskaya setup, or one with only a single charging support, she does best with a Starting NP Gauge CE. For nodes where she will be used for less than three waves, she can maximize her damage with a NP Damage Up CE.

  • Aerial Drive / Holy Night Supper: Morgan is capable of Buster looping with a double Koyanskaya and Oberon, and a CE with at least a 30% starting charge (plus her Append) and NP damage will maximize her damage against enemies.
  • Kaleidoscope: Lacking an Oberon, Morgan can still cast 3 NPs in 3 turns with a Kaleidoscope and a double Vitch, paired with an Atlas Academy mystic code. This could also be used to allow her to cast two Noble Phantasms with any other one 50% charge Servant (including from support).
  • The Black Grail: If there are less than two waves, a Black Grail can give her a significant damage boost, especially if Oberon is in the mix.
  • Golden Sumo: Boulder Tournament / Partake with the King / Starry Nights / Dragon’s Meridian: While significantly less effective, Morgan can loop with any 50% starting gauge CE, or cast normal NPs with one.

Profile

Character Info

The queen who rules over the Lostbelt Faerie Britain.
She has established an absolute monarchy in Lostbelt Britain, oppressing the fae for over 2,000 years.
The highest ranked faerie and a divinely brilliant mage, she bears Rhongomyniad, the Lance of the World's End, as a form of magecraft.

Profile 1

Height/Weight: 170cm, 56kg
Origin: Legend of King Arthur, English faerie lore, as well as Lostbelt Britain
Region: Orkney at World's End
Alignment: Lawful-Evil
Gender: Female

Old English faerie lore tells of Morgan as a "benevolent faerie of the lake," which was later adapted into Arthurian legends as a villainess opposing King Arthur.
On the other hand, she is conflated with the faerie Viviane who bestowed the sacred sword upon King Arthur and guarded him after this death.

Profile 2

In Proper Human History, Morgan was the daughter of Tintagel, the fae child conceived by Igraine, the progeny of the British Isles...and later, Altria's stepsister, as Morgan's mother Igraine wed King Uther.

Altria was designed as a human king as part of a human stratagem.
Morgan, after learning that she was the true ruler meant to inherit the Mystics of the British Isles, came to despise King Uther, her sister Altria, and all humans who refused to swear fealty to her. This hatred was a major source of destruction in Britain.

Morgan had many children who joined the Round Table: Gawain, Gaheris, Gareth, and Agravain were her children by the King of Orkney, while Mordred was a homunculus meant to defeat Altria and created from both Morgan and Altria's blood and essence.

Profile 3

Charisma of Yearning: B
The might of a ruler who has chosen to reign her subjects through fear, after suffering a lifetime of failures, disappointments, and despair.

Protection of the Lake: C
Protection by the fae of the lake. Morgan has been adrift for such a long time that its rank has decreased.

From the World's End: A
The pride of a queen who faced death countless times, only to rise again, reach the island at the World's End, and return to Britain.
Only the Morgan who rules the British Lostbelt possesses this skill; the normal Morgan lacks it.
It is a mighty vortex of curses that can decide victory or loss on the battlefield—winter storm incarnate.

Profile 4

[Roadless Camelot]
Rank: EX
NP Type: Anti-Fortress
Range: 10 – 99
Maximum Targets: 100 people

The Utopia No Longer Within Reach.
The white-walled castle Camelot, which Morgan longed to triumphantly enter all her life but was never able to. Her unfulfilled wish gave way to sorrow, and eventually hatred.
Her twisted desire for control and privilege; her burning homesickness; her rage at humans; her loathing for Altria, an identical being who sat upon the throne in Camelot—
These all warped Morgan into someone bent on destroying the Round Table.
This Noble Phantasm is her very being, expressed as magecraft. It embodies Morgan's love and resentment, momentarily traversing the path she can never walk, only to destroy it.

Morgan's ultimate foe is not King Arthur. To defeat destiny—humanity—which once destroyed the fae of Britain for their own convenience, she returned from the World's End and became a witch to curse the entire world.

Profile 5

A cold, ruthless queen who trusts only in her own power.
It isn't that she never trusts others, but they cannot be relied upon.
Morgan's first priority is the orderly rule of the British Isles.

She dislikes humans, faeries, weakness, ugliness, equality, and peace. From the perspective of her subjects, she is evil incarnate.

Yet, she dislikes them not because she finds them needless, but because they are incompatible with her.
To Morgan, control is just. Anything which threatens that control is evil.
Therefore, Morgan's personal preferences are unrelated to her standards of good and evil as a sovereign. Even if she personally finds something distasteful, she will openly acknowledge and tolerate it if it is necessary to her rule. Her absolute, extreme values make her seem like a heartless machine.

Profile 6

That said, Morgan does have a heart. She is simply no longer capable of strongly feeling happiness and sadness, hatred and rage, or love and romance. After so many years of single-mindedly protecting Britain, her heart has gone cold.

Except for one last flicker of passion in her chest—
a long-held yearning of her past self.
Her goal to control Britain is the sole wish that still drives her.

...It is not a human-like dream from her youth, but rather simply what she was born to do.
This is a truth she learned during her long, long journey.

  ◆

Morgan of Proper Human History is a storybook villain with an infamously amorous, brutal, and impulsive character, but this Morgan had those aspects weathered away by the passage of time, leaving her a tranquil, intelligent woman—a frustrated, or perhaps reformed, nation-ruining beauty.

Everything, from sensual pleasures, to the thrill of hurting someone, to the exhilaration of self-fulfillment, is, in Morgan's own words,
"Boring. I tire of such things."

However, her qualities are simply subdued, not gone. If she were to find herself in dire enough circumstances, her old wicked ways and preferences might reemerge.

No. It's a single thing. It's very simple.
Bond Level 2 I execute all who defy me, be they my subjects or family.
That is how I ruled Faerie Britain for two thousand years.
...Your history has lasted even longer than that?
In that case, I will consider amending my laws.
Bond Level 3 I have wondered about this for some time...
Why are there Berserker-class Servants here other than me?
Fire them all. We don't need them.
Bond Level 4 (Male Protagonist) Let us build a castle, my husband.
I have everything prepared, so you need but name a day and time.
I will build you something incredible.
Bond Level 4 (Female Protagonist) Let us build a castle, my wife.
I have everything prepared, so you need but name a day and time.
I will build you something incredible.
Bond Level 5 So this is what I lacked in Faerie Britain—
No, perhaps not. I could not have possessed it there.
Once I gained something more previous than myself, my two thousand-year reign was over...
How ironic.
This time, I will not fail. I will craft laws that prevent the unexpected loss of both yourself and my ambitions.
Conversation 1 The battlefield? Very well.
Bring me my cursed spear, Master.
Conversation 2 As your Servant, I will lend an ear to your words.
I will tolerate no other sounds.
Conversation 3 My Master is my possession.
I don't understand the point of your question.
Conversation 4 (Altria Pendragon) So that detestable red dragon—Altria—is here.
Even if she was an innocent product of Uther and Merlin's plot...
I will never forgive her.
One day, I will crush her underfoot.
Conversation 5 (Gawain, Gareth) My children in Proper Human History...
I cannot imagine being blessed with children...
But they seem to have grown into upstanding knights, unlike me.
Conversation 6 (Mordred, Mordred (Rider)) She made a copy of Altria!?
Was the Proper Human History of me THAT obsessed!?
...No, forget I said that. It was a slip of the tongue.
Mordred... I must say, she is well made.
How could I fail after crafting such an excellent pawn?
Wait, I succeeded?
Conversation 7 (Cu Chulainn, Cu Chulainn (Prototype), Cu Chulainn (Caster)) Cú Chulainn...
Why is he so excessively cautious of me?
He was manipulated by a wicked goddess?
What does that have to do with me?
All I ever did was curse to death the warriors who spurned me.
Conversation 8 (Altria Pendragon (Archer)) Oi, you have got to be kidding me, Altria.
Lend me that water cannon while you're at it!
Conversation 9 (Altria Pendragon (Alter), Altria Pendragon (Santa Alter), Altria Pendragon (Rider Alter)) Altria...do you have a gift for antagonizing people?
Were you born solely to impugn my dignity?
Why did you name a Noble Phantasm only good for destroying things after me?
Say it to my face. I dare you.
Conversation 10 (Merlin) Merlin is a nightmare incarnate.
No matter how many times you try to kill him, he bounces back out of nowhere and leaves you with horrible memories.
So, the only thing to do is to lock him away.
It's important to never approach him afterward.
He'll just deceive you again with his wily tongue.
Conversation 11 (Baobhan Sith) I'm glad you seem to be feeling well, but...
(sigh) Why are you like this, Baobhan Sith?
You need to fix that habit of crying over things you broke yourself.
Likes What I like...
Is there anything better than a nation that moves as I desire?
Dislikes What I dislike...
Nothing in particular. Caterpillars, though...
About the Holy Grail The Holy Grail? Ah, that thing powerless humans seek.
I do not need it. I don't even want to look upon it.

During an Event Nations require festivals.

Birthday (Male Protagonist) If I may, Master...
Which is more important—your birthday, or the anniversary of my summoning?
That's right. They are both precious days.
First, let us spend a most joyous day commemorating your birth.
Then, I ask that you perform the greatest gesture to celebrate your good fortune to have summoned me.
You are capable of it, are you not? You are my husband, after all.
Birthday (Female Protagonist) If I may, Master...

Summon (Male Protagonist) ...So, you have summoned me.
Berserker, Morgan.
I am the queen of Faerie Britain, who still curses Proper Human History.
If that is not an issue, then I will lend you my power as a Servant.
The fact remains that I am a queen.
I expect you to serve as my subject.
Or would you prefer that I treat you as a husband?
