New Tier List Placements

5 Star Servants

Tier B+

Okita Alter's Summer form is a highly capable AoE Quick farmer, with a small dash of utility provided by her NP's ability to remove defensive buffs before applying damage. Her kit is decidedly selfish and offense focused, highlighting her primary role as a damage dealer. She comes with self ATK, Quick, Buster, and a further Quick buff on her NP, and has respectable Critical damage and Star Gather buffs. To support her looping capabilities, she also has an ever-handy 30% NP Gauge Charger, and a 3-turn self NP Gain buff. Defensively, she has a 2-time, 3-turn invincibility skill, tied to her NP Gain buff. Among the cast, she is one of the best in slot as a Saber Quick looper, making her an excellent choice especially if premiere Quick Support such as Skadi is available. For Masters desiring a Saber Class Quick looper, or lacking AoE Saber damage in general, she makes for a straightforward and extremely solid addition to the team.

Okita Souji (Saber Alter): x -> B+ (Avg Score: 8.2) - [NorseFTX - B+][WhiteRabbit - B+][Meliran - B][Rathilal - B+][Ceui - B]

Tier A

Kama returns with a vengeance as an AoE Arts Avenger, and an extremely capable NP looper. To support her looping capabilities, she has a 50% NP charge skill, giving her quick access to her NP. She also has a passive that gives her 3.8% NP Gauge each turn, which helps with supporting her NP refund. Her NP itself inflicts a DEF buff (albeit after damage), and also has supereffective damage against Charmed enemies, which she can also inflict to all enemies with her second skill. Her other offensive buffs include an Arts buff, NP damage buff, and a special ATK buff based on her own special trait that she can apply to enemies with normal attacks. Defensively, she has a 2-time, 3 turn Evade skill, which is functional enough for its role in most cases. Due to her ability to apply her supereffective modifier, she deals remarkable damage on a wave of choice. Overall, Kama's summer form is an excellent Arts farmer, and due to her class, she comfortably deals with waves of almost any Class aside from Moon Cancer, which are exceedingly rare. Masters who have premiere Arts Supports will benefit greatly from being graced by her presence in their roster.

Kama (Avenger): x -> A (Avg Score: 9.07) - [NorseFTX - A+][WhiteRabbit - A][Meliran - A][Rathilal - A][Ceui - A]

4 Star Servants

Tier B

The welfare of FGO Summer 2023, Da Vinci joins as an ST Buster Ruler. True to her capricious nature, she has one of three effects that her NP can provide randomly: 30 Stars, party NP Gauge +20%, or party ATK +20% for three turns. Additionally, her NP will always buff her own NP Damage before damage is dealt. Within her kit are a plethora of supportive effects, including a rainbow buff of all three Card colors for a single ally lasting 3 turns, NP damage and NP overcharge level buffs for the party, and a targetable NP Gauge charge of 20% that comes with an NP Gain buff. Defensively, however, she does not have much to her name aside from a very minor Critical Rate debuff on all enemies. Even so, Da Vinci's Summer form makes for an excellent and flexible addition to the team given her great supportive capabilities. She may not supplant any of the premiere supports, but she does great as a welfare option.

Leonardo da Vinci (Ruler): x -> B (Avg Score: 7.8) - [NorseFTX - B+][WhiteRabbit - B][Meliran - C][Rathilal - B][Ceui - B-]

Tier A

Anastasia is accompanied by Viy in her summer form as an ST Arts Archer. She notably has easy access to her NP with a self gauge charge of up to 50%. She also has multiple offensive buffs in her kit, including Arts Up, NP Damage Up, and the ability to debuff Arts Resist on her NP before damage. Additionally, she has an Arts Star Gather skill that comes with a mild Crit Damage boost, lending her Arts Cards additional damage and NP gain on successful crits. To accompany her crit performance, she also has a skill that supplies up to 20 Stars on demand. Defensively, she has a 1-turn Invincibility skill. She also provides several more situational utility tools, such as Sure Hit to deal with Evading enemies, Buff Removal Resist of up to 100% to ignore buff removal effects for a turn, and Skill Seal on her NP to stop the enemy from using any pesky skills. As a package she is an excellent Arts Archer, who can pop in from the backline for some big single target damage with the help of a 50% charge CE or from support. Masters will be well-served by having her in the roster, particularly if they missed a certain welfare Archer who has a similar role.

Anastasia & Viy (Archer): x -> A (Avg Score: 8.87) - [NorseFTX - A][WhiteRabbit - A][Meliran - A][Rathilal - B+][Ceui - A]

Tier A

Charlotte's summer form is a ST Arts Caster with some very potent damage output due to her supereffective modifiers. Her NP deals bonus damage to those inflicted with Skill Seal, and she has two sources of Skill Seal in her kit: one that has 100% chance of working at max skill level, and another chance based one from the Confusion inflicted, which can inflict Skill Seal at a 30% rate each turn. Her Arts NP also gives a fixed 20 Stars, which also is further supported by her ability to generate 10 Stars each turn for up to three turns, giving her surprising Star generation abilities for an Arts based Servant. For offensive buffs, she has a self-targeted Arts buff and a party NP damage buff. To support access to her NP, she has an interesting gauge charge that gives herself up to 30% NP, and a target of choice another 30% NP (which can also be herself), giving her up to a total 60% charge. Finally, defensively, she has a useful party Evade that works for 1 time, 1 turn, which can help save the party from an enemy's AoE attack. Overall, Charlotte has a highly varied skill kit that provides the party with a balanced set of defensive, NP, and offensive support. Her own damage is also quite remarkable due to her ability to guarantee her supereffective modifier, and she makes for an excellent addition to the roster.

Charlotte Corday (Caster): x -> A (Avg Score: 9) - [NorseFTX - A][WhiteRabbit - A][Meliran - A][Rathilal - A][Ceui - A]

Tier B

Sei Shounagon's summer version is an ST Quick Berserker, whose NP has multiple trait-based damage boosts including Lawful, Human attribute, and Shadow Servant. The rest of her kit is primarily focused on her own offensive performance, including ATK, two Crit Damage buffs, a much needed Star Gather buff for a Berserker's low innate star absorption, and a burst of up to 25 Stars on demand. She also has a 20% NP charge skill for herself. Defensively, she has a 2-time, 3 turn evade, a targetable heal of up to 3000, and a rather niche ability to apply burn immunity to an ally for 3 turns. Notably, she also has a triple Buster deck, which when combined with her Crit buffs, make her a decent Buster Crit machine. For those with her in the roster, it would do well to remember her as a great option to take against enemies that have the Lawful or Human attributes, or if Buster Crit supports are available, she also makes for a decent option to deal painful critical damage with her Cards.

Sei Shounagon (Berserker): x -> B (Avg Score: 8.13) - [NorseFTX - B][WhiteRabbit - B+][Meliran - B][Rathilal - B+][Ceui - B]

Tier C

Caenis joins in on the summer adventure as an ST Buster Rider with a focus on dealing critical damage. Their kit consists of primarily offensive and crit-focused effects, including a party ATK buff, an Arts/Buster buff for themselves, Crit damage buffs for all male and unknown gender allies, a skill that provides up to 15 Stars on demand, and up to 10 stars per turn. When the field is near water, their third skill also gains a Star Gather buff and an additional 10 more stars each turn. Caenis's NP further buffs Crit damage for themselves, while also buffing NP damage and ATK if near water before dealing damage. Defensively, she has a single Guts skill. Their Crit centric kit is further supported by the innately high Rider-Class star absorption. However, their performance is somewhat dependent on Card draws, which can make them difficult to bring to full potential since allies' Cards can interfere with Caenis's ability to reach peak performance. At the same time, Caenis is somewhat decently effective in solo situations due to their self sufficient kit. Overall, Caenis makes for an interesting ST Buster Rider damage source that can be helpful to keep in mind if a source of Crit damage is needed, in case enemies for instance have resistances to NP damage.

Caenis (Rider): x -> C (Avg Score: 6.93) - [NorseFTX - C][WhiteRabbit - C][Meliran - C][Rathilal - C][Ceui - C-]

Tier List Movements

5 Star Servants

Tier B+ -> B+

Illya receives her own NP charge skill upgrade with the recent Back to School campaign (known as the Fate/Kaleid Licht campaign in JP), now having access to up to 50% NP gauge on demand. Given the oft-seen difficulty for Buster-centric Servants to charge their bar, this is a highly welcome change that allows Masters to more easily access Illya's NP. In combination with starting NP Gauge CEs that provide at least 50%, of which there are many, she can instantly NP as soon as she gets on the field, which is greatly helpful given that she also is one of the best sources of single target Caster damage in the roster. She has been given a tier bump as a result.

Illyasviel von Einzbern: B+ -> B+ (Avg Score: 8.58) - [NorseFTX - B+][WhiteRabbit - B+][Meliran - A+][Rathilal - B+]

Tier B+ -> B+

Edmond receives his upgrade almost a year early with the latest EVO Melty Blood campaign. This upgrade provides him with a coveted NP charge skill of up to 30%, solidifying his ability to loop his NP. The upgrade also gives him a more niche ability that allows him to remove buffs when dealing critical hits. Due to his Quick-based card set, he should have little issue obtaining enough stars to gain benefit from this effect, and this upgrade can come in handy in situations where enemies have buffs that are otherwise difficult to deal with. However, the necessity for crits means that this is still reliant on his Card draws along with enough Star gather luck, which is difficult to guarantee for an Avenger unless there are a high number of stars available, which tend to happen after his NP turns.

Edmond Dantes: B+ -> B+ (Avg Score: 8.33) - [NorseFTX - B+][WhiteRabbit - B+][Rathilal - B+][Ceui - B+]

4 Star Servants

Tier D -> C

Miyu has long been considered rather underpowered as a Support Servant, and she receives a highly welcome upgrade to her NP that removes the debilitating 3000 HP damage demerit, while boosting the HP recovery amount and adding a new ATK buff to the entire party. Given that a bulk of her NP's desirable effects require her to survive on the field, the removal of the HP demerit helps greatly with her effectiveness in her role. As a result, she has been given a tier bump.

Miyu Edelfelt: D -> C (Avg Score: 7) - [NorseFTX - C][WhiteRabbit - C][Meliran - C][Rathilal - C]
